Pours a medium cloudy gold. Modest head that provides a thin persistent coat. No notable lace. Taste of wheat and yeast with hints of banana and cloves.. Alcohol is also present, which contradicts a somewhat watery finish. A nice brew, good for sipping, but not one of those you remember for the next session.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 tastybeer (950) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a nice white head, good retention/lace. Aroma of wheat malt, Unibroue yeast, vanilla, grass, lemon. Taste is moderately sweet, yeasty, lemon, grassy hops. Palate is soft, creamy, average carbonation, sweet yeasty finish. A nice marriage of a wheat beer and Belgian tripel, very good.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2012 Very sweet and wheat-y bear. It’s just a sip-able bear, wouldn’t buy again. Strong but too sweet.

At the start of this weekend, this one hollered off the shelf as something I needed to try to celebrate a good week. It did not disappoint. I never knew there was such a thing as a triple Belgian style strong wheat ale, but that description is accurate. .75l bottle pours a hazy amber color (almost green when held to a light) with a white head and no lacing. Smells of honey, vanilla and floral. Its complex aroma is mostly the same with malts and yeast added. Medium body and just enough carbonation to keep it lively. A bit of alcohol in the finish, but not as much as you get from cheaper 9% beers.

Olor a fruta bien agrable algo de banana, citricos y clavos,al paladar una tipica strong ale aromatica, es como una mezcla entre una belgian strong ale y y una weizenbock, se siente algo de albaricoque y melocoton mezclados con banana. Altamente recomendada buenisima

Enjoyed this beer. Would order again. creamy, frothy head, yellow/brown color, more carbonation than expected, 9% hit me as I was drinking it! I had another Belgian Whit before this and they tasted very similar. ______ de Chambly (can’t remember the name)

Bottle - big thick head, dark straw color with lots of carbonation bubbles, bannana clove spicy aroma and flavor - VERY similar to the Blanche de Chambly that I also just had
