Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA Apr 29, 2009 Pours a super murky wheat-hazed pils color with voluminous white head. Aroma is of belgian yeast spiciness, some banana/clove, and clean wheat. Taste is very very clean and refreshing - essentially a wheat wine with Belgian yeast thrown in. The pils and wheat are clearly identifiable, as is the very expressive yeast used by Unibroue. This is a really tasty beer and one of my favorites from this brewery. kazooka (39), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Apr 28, 2009 Floral hops, light bread-yeast aroma. Pours a caramel color with a brief white head. Medium sweet, lightly sour. Lively carbonation, thin body, finishes long sour apple. rcasta (472), El Salvador Apr 27, 2009 seguramente nos la tomamos con sici en seattle porque ya no la encuentro. o me la tome solo - a saber, pero unibroue hace buenas birrias tipo belgica porque no son tan citricas BMan1113VR (2757), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Apr 21, 2009 Bottle marked best before 10-15-11. Pours with a large rocky head over a hazed orange body. Aroma of orange peel, Unibroue house yeast (which I associate with celery), honey, candi sugar and spice. Very fizzy mouthfeel that interferes with enjoying this beer. Taste is sweet with honey, house yeast, bread, candi sugar, alcohol and a touch of diacetyl. A bit hot (alcoholic), but I think that has to do with the beer being somewhat fresh. Too fizzy. angrypirate06 (678), Texas, USA Apr 21, 2009 big ol 750. Hazy gold pour with a white fizzy head. Aroma of wheat, raisins, citrus, clove and cinnamon. Flavor was citrus, wheat bread. This bottle was pretty fresh and therefore a bit hot. Could used some more time. AndyReynolds (280), Wilder, Kentucky, USA Apr 20, 2009 Updated: Apr 22, 2009Pours a golden orange with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is strong of banana, yeast, and bread. I detected notes of citrus, possibily oranges. The feel is typical of a Unibroue beer, very carbonated. The flavor is about the same as the aroma, but the citrus really comes through. The finish is rather dry, but the beer is still pretty good. drewaha (16), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 18, 2009 12 oz bottle poured into duvel tulip. 2" head. Cloudy light orange in color. Copper aroma (but not in a bad way). Slight citrus flavor. Very smooth and a bit sweet. Somewhat similar to la fin du monde, just lighter. Not a complex beer but very smooth and the alcohol content is fairly well masked. Tasty, refreshing beer. Will definitely have another. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Apr 17, 2009 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours a cloudy orange with nice white fizzy head. Aroma of fruit, a little orange, possibly some coriander, some farmhouse, various spices, wheat. Flavor has some farmhouse, wheat, malty, some various spices, faint cinnamon, coriander, faint alcohol burn. Mouth feel is medium body, fizzy carbonation. Overall, a very well made beer...tasty!
