pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Dec 14, 2008 Foggy gold with a thin white head. Aroma is lightly yeasty, spice, fruit, white wine. Taste is a light spiciness, apples, some yeast, faint alcohol. A bit watery on the end. tarheels86 (703), Washington DC, USA Dec 7, 2008 330 mL bottle. Pours a cloudy light golden with a nice fluffy white head like a good hefeweisen. Aromas of pineapple, yeast, granny-smith apple, cloves- like a witbier and hefeweisen combined. Taste is light and refreshing with lots of yeast, pineapple, sour fruits, spice, and effervescent carbonation. Dry finish. 9% by volume is perfectly obscured. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 6, 2008 pretty good brew. nice body cant taste the 9percent alcohol at all nice wheaty yeast kinda taste. Skidds (252), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Dec 2, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange/gold. Looks like a cross between a wit and and weizen. Nice white head to go along with it. Aroma was yeasty with notes of spice and fruit. Flavour was mainly yeast and citrus. Bitter at times. Another fantastic brew from Unibroue. nefarious (202), Clarkston, Michigan, USA Dec 2, 2008 extra cloudy gold pour. big belgian yeast aroma....definately Unibroue. And a big carbonated head. Sweet fruits and slight bread and alcohol. Great clean sweet finish. Its like La Fin with half the carbination, at least that what I thought. Very good. penguinjive7 (67), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 20, 2008 Pours a golden hue with an enormous champaign-like head.
The smell if of ripe fruit, mostly apricot with a bit of alcohol on the front.
The initial taste is definitely the apricot in a big way. Other light fruits are also present as it rolls on the tongue. The alcohol is present in the finish, and adds to the flavor and keeps it balanced.
This brew is medium bodied with a nice level of carbonation which is done just right.
This is definitely an excellent sipping brew. More than one at a time I think would be a bit too much for the taste buds. I like my palate to be nice and clean to pick up all of it’s fine subtleties. Not the best of the style in my opinion, but is is definitely a great brew that I would gladly try again if it was around.

Flavor was apples and some other citrus. Good beer, but not the best offering in their lineup. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Naka. Pours orange yellow with foamy, 1/2 finger white head. Spicy, fruity nose, apple and slight coriander. Taste is lots of apple and mild lemon, mild cherry and caramel throughout. There’s tons of fake citric taste with apple at the end and lots of alcohol flavor and heat. Not bad, but not fantastic.
