Flamojune (93), Ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada Sep 10, 2008 Blanche triple, assez unique comme expérience. Un peu épicé, belle couleur tirant sur le doré. Le gout d’alcool se fait discret malgré 9%. Pour ceux qui aiment Unibroue, go for it! garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Sep 7, 2008 From a 750 ml bottle purchased at "Liquor Direct" in Covington, KY - This one poured a rich, golden brew with a tall white head of foam and a full, grainy aroma. Tastewise, it’s excellent, with a full, rich malty flavor and a lucious palate. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Sep 6, 2008 Bottle 341ml. @ home. Clear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, moderate to light light heavy yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (290608) 09maso3 (69), vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 5, 2008 Blonde with a big head, sweet malty and fruity smelles, some phenols. complex malty flavours. some spicy aftertastes. very rich.
in general i enjoyed it Beaver (588), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Sep 3, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark gold with a huge fizzy white head that diminishes to a thin collar then disappears completely.
The aroma is some sweet grainy malts with a tinge of rotten fruit sourness and a little grassy bitterness and some bananas and cloves.
The flavor is some sweet and sugary malts, fruits (bananas), musty yeast, some spices and cloves, and a grassy bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full with some sharp carbonation.
Overall, an interesting Belgian. I like some aspects but not others.
JuStuka (187), Edo De Mex, Mexico Sep 2, 2008 Pours cloudy straw with thick head, aroma is yeasty and spicy, taste is spicey, citrus and warming. dolemite77 (184), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Sep 1, 2008 Interesting beer... pours bright orange under a thick white head. Aroma is yeasty and sweet. Flavor is a bit too sweet, very much like a sweet white wine. There is a vinous quality to it throughout. MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Aug 29, 2008 12oz - Aroma is appealing but not too complex. Hay, straw, bready yeast and sweet pastry. Pours gold with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor isbready Unibroue yeast. Mellow spice and straw with a touch of sunshine (that’s what my notes say). Palate is creamy and smooth. Pretty easy going and tasty for 9%.
