Thought there would be more head as a triple white but not so much. Small white head, cloudy yellow colour. Strong yeast aroma and yeasty citrus taste. Very similar to Fin du Monde. Does blend in the 9% very well. ketchepillar (478), Viña del Mar, Chile

Rather estery with a pretty strong yeast kick. Finish is dry with some metallic banana alcohol coming through. jhumphries69 (722), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 13, 2008 750ml corked&caged bottle. Pours a deep, very hazy, orange-gold with lighter gold highlights and thick, soapy-looking, white foam. The aroma is exotic and enticing: lemon and some spices, aromatic and bready malts that have some biscuit and cracker qualities, balanced by a subtle, funky grassiness. The flavor follows the aroma: light citrus zest and spices initially, followed by a very nice, distinct, maltiness. The ester profile is distinctly Unibroue (reminds me, in particular, of their Blanc de Chambly)- lovely notes of tart fruit and subtle phenols. The finish is dry and refreshing with a very light, (almost unnoticeable) flavor of ethanol and gentle warming quality, too. The mouthfeel is deceptively light in body (medium body, very light and dry for 9%abv) and vigorously carbonated - which lends a very pleasing tickle all over the tongue and also enhances the impression of dryness in the finish. Overall, a beautiful Belgian ale - basically an "imperial" version of Blanc de Chambly (at least that is certainly what it tastes like). unclemattie (2401), Georgia, USA
