Peach, bannana and apricot aroma sits above a wheat and lemon base. A big fruity smell. Mildly acidic pinapple flavor stands above the potent alcohol content but you know the 9% is there. Masterfully done. Like many high content belgiums there is a very bubbly palate. Another complete stunner from Unibroue. elihapa (1044), Honolulu, California, USA

Strong fruit aroma of citrus, spice, banana?, This aroma was more intense than other unibroue offerings. High carbonation, a good body and very smooth, thick, sweet fruity finish. Very good. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 30, 2008 Hazy gold/orange, excellent lacing and a well sustained head compliment the attractive gold body. Fresh aroma with pineapples, strong spice (cloves, coriander, allspice) and remniscent of a light white wine (reisling, chardonnay.) In the taste, the chardonnay suggestions are even more apparent, presenting fresh picked apples, hay, and a buttery, rounded finish. The alcohol is very well hidden in this well-balanced "triple-wheat" ale.
