HughConway (364), Alabama, USA Mar 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours cloudy straw with thick white head. Aroma a bit yeasty with citrus overtones. Nice spicy wheat taste with fruit hints. Think the nose on this bottle was off. durhambeer (1186), Durham, USA Mar 9, 2008 Seemed like a fruity triple to me. Good if that’s your bag... it’s not mine so much, but it’s not bad. Lovely deep hazy golden pour with a generous and lasting foamy head. Honey and spice on the nose. Citrus and summer fruits on the palate. Hides the alcohol very well. As with Maudite, I found a similar creamy yeasty/fruity taste (more sour this time) that I don’t love. I can see why folks would like it, but I’m not a big fan. BeerGestapo (725), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 6, 2008 (Canada) Hazy Yellow color with a Sm-White Head. Has a Sweet/Spicy Aroma with a Wheat aftertaste!!! Slight bitter finish....... Average, But Recommended!!! WillieV (191), Maryland, USA Mar 1, 2008 Bottle: Poured a hazy gold color with a feint semi white head that fizzled away to nothing. Slow falling sediment can be seen throughout. Citrus scent to it. Flavor is nothing original. Really just average. FlssmrBrewAlum (1053), Lisle, Illinois, USA Feb 28, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Unibroue sampler pack from John’s Grocery (Iowa City, IA). Poured a dark hazy wheaty color with a very prominent white bubbly head. The brew continues to bubble and appears highly carbonated. A pleasant aroma that is a bit sweet, with spices and some tell tale belgian style yeast hints. Pleasant on the nose and the eyes. Initial taste is sweet and spicy, yet not over powering. Some citrusy sweet parts and a nice crisp feel. Finishes tart / bitter, but enjoyable for the most part. A nice beer. Will drink again. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Feb 28, 2008 Pours a hazy light gold with a large foamy white head. Sweet aroma of what I now recognize as Unibroue yeast along with some wheat, spices and fruit. Flavor is fruity, sweet and tart, with some yeast, wheat and a long spicy finish. Slick texture, very carbonated. Light to medium bodied. KnutAlbert (3101), Oslo, Norway Feb 26, 2008 Bottle, 341 ml (!) bought in Italy.
Strong flavour of honey and flowers. Warming alcohol finish. Leaky cap, beware of putting this in your suitcase! Ron (1000), Rochester, New York, USA Feb 24, 2008 Poured and average head that quickly disapated. Hazy golden copper color. Yeasty slightly sweet with a floral aroma. Strong corriander and other spices with a bit of hop finish for balance.
