Feb 5, 2008 Subtle apricot nose. Had a murky gold color. Almost perfect balance of flavors, sweet fruit, with a nice alcohol burn. Almost had a nectar quality to it. Nice and full, with a long smooth crispy finish. One of Unibroue’s best beers.

Feb 3, 2008 Poured from 12oz bottle. Hazy shades of gold. Aroma smelled a bit like wet wood, apples and pears. Taste was a bit lighter then I was expecting. Should have tried this before the tripel. Sweet citrus flavor. Alcohol well hidden in taste but was definitely felt.

Jan 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden, thin head. Vinuous aroma, hint of mustiness and citrus. Flavor has apple, pear and lemon esters. Mild stale flavors throughout. Warming alcohol, too. Mouthfeel is full, lively and creamy.

Jan 24, 2008 Part of the 8 pack sample from BEVMO. Poured a cloudy golden color. Tastes of citrus flavors and sweet from beginning to end. High alcohol content is never tasted and is hidden by this quality brew.

Jan 24, 2008 From a bottle. Pours a hazy golden golden color. Fruity in the aroma. Hints of citrus and sweet fruits. Taste is slight sweetness and a breadyness aswell as some spice. Medium bodied and very enjoyable.

Jan 24, 2008 Definitely a quality brew here. Unibroue markets this as a Triple Hefe, which is what it’s most similar to. I reserve the Belgian Strong label for beers with a bit more to them. For what it is, this beer is excellent. Very full for what I expected and smooth to boot.

Jan 19, 2008 Updated: Apr 21, 2009341 mL bottle. Hazy peach with a small but lasting white head. Sweet citrus (mandarin orange) and spice in the aroma, along with the Unibroue yeast. The flavour is sweet as well, although the sweetness is tempered by the heavy carbonation. Again you’ll find the sweet citrus, along with some wheat, spice (coriander) and alcohol. Kinda like an Imperial Wit. Not as good as some of their others, but there’s nothing wrong with it.

Jan 19, 2008 12 oz bottle purchased at John’s Grocery In Iowa City. Poured a hazy yellow-gold color. Head was thick, rocky, and white with good retention and lacing. Fruity aroma of distinct pineapple, some citrus, and a whiff of banana. Effervescent and slightly sweet on the tongue. Lots of fruits and spices in the flavor including mandarin orange, clove, subdued pineapple, alcohol, and white pepper. There was also some yeasty bread dough. Great beer.
