Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have Belgian yeast with the typical Unibroue spin, apple, pear, mild to moderate spices, moderately sweet malts, a hint of earth.

Bottle pour. Cloudy golden, large white head, good lacing. Bready aroma with bananas, oranges, and light spices. Medium body. Interesting taste that seems like a mix between a tripel and a summer ale. Nice mix of spices, but includes a strong citrus aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a slight hazy bright orange with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma of pitted fruit and malt sweetness, along with Belgian yeast character, a slight wheat tartness and mild spiciness. Taste is toasted malt with light fruit and mild sweetness. Some earthy flavors with clove spiciness, mild pepper and a faint wheat tartness. Finishes with some alcohol warmth and some light spiciness. Mouthfeel is crisp and light/medium body with high carbonation. Flavorful and tasty if not overly complex with some nice alcohol warmth. This would be a good fall beer.

Very cloudy yellow amber. Quickly disappearing head and longer lasting lace. Sweet, Indian inspired spices. Medium carbonation. This is a better version of Monk in the Trunk. Spice accent is easy and light up front and a clean finish. Not a bad summer ale. Lower rating because Iím not a fan of spiced beers yet this one surprised me.

Just not a style I enjoy a lot, though I can appreciate that many, many others love it. Color is orange/brown with a big head. Aroma is banana, clove, sour yeast. Taste is more complex and I do taste the coriander Iíve seen mentioned, along with orange. Palate is quite highly carbonated, which youíd expect for this style. Very good example of the style, the style just isnít my favorite.

Bottle. Cloudy, bright orange pour with a small creamy white head. Aromas of oranges, peaches and some subtle spices. Very fruity flavour, notes of orange, peach, some candied fruits, Belgian yeast, some coriander and other spices. Tastes like a Belgian witbier with a much fuller body and a bit of boozy heat. I suppose this is technically a wheat tripel. Quite nice.

Aroma: Hints of banana and bubblegum, but faint. Appearance: Sparkling gold with a rich white head. Taste: Medium sweetness straight through. Palate: Full body, sticky texture, average carbonation, long finish. Overall: The flavor is a little under developed, but itís still a very drinkable beer. Not disappointing, but not mind blowing, either.

On the back of the bottle, there is a date stamped that says "Best before 09-20-15." I poured this into a tulip. The appearance was a nice three finger white foamy head that lasts for a good two minutes. As the head starts to die a bit, the lacing appears to be somewhat foamy and thick. The carbonation seems to roll throughout the body along with some sediment, to me, its actually kinda fun to watch. The smell starts off with a nice lemon based wheat. It wants to be sharp as I notice some assault in my nose but ends up settling a bit and lets some other citrus aspects come out such as grapefruit, and mango. The taste is sweet and clean with the wheat combining nicely with the citrus aspects of the beer. There is a decent sweet wheat and slightly citrus aftertaste that ends up leading to a nice dry sort of wheat-like finish. On the palate, it sits about a medium to almost heavy. The bottle says 9% and I think it could be there, perhaps. However, I will admit, there seems to be a slight sessionable aspect to this beer. The carbonation seems to be fairly smooth and filling. Overall, in my opinion, this is a good Belgian strong pale ale. Though, I donít get as many Belgian spices I normally get in most BSPAís, the wheat aspect seems to fill that desire and makes this well worthy of having again.

Heavy citrus in everything. Itís like Iím drinking a mimosa, but the kind made for battle. ;-)

ANOTHER superior offeriing from Unibroue. Pours out hazy straw-yellow with lacy white head. Was PLEASANTLY surprised as thick as this beer appeared in the snifter (isnít that the ONLY way to drink great beers?) that it was lighter than expected but did NOT hold back on any flavor. VERY reminicent of a farmhouse ale (only not QUITE as light or hoppy) This brewery is CONSTANTLY amazing me and I recommend them often!
