341ml bottle from Allen’s Bar. Toronto, Ontario. It pours an extremely hazy dirty orange colour with a small white head which recedes quickly into a ring. Aroma is a complex fruity aroma but apricotis pronounced. It has a apricoty taste with notes of clove and a slight hoppy finish. Light body. Medium carbonation.

Cloudy golden color, medium head. Fruity sweet malty aroma. Sweet, malty, buttery, spicy citrus taste. It’s fairly effervescent with a spicy finish. Alcohol is well balanced. A pleasure to drink, down to the last drop.

Pours a nice, clear golden hew with tons of carbonation. An aggressive pour will cause you to stop pouring about half-way through due to the huge amount of carbonation. Bubbles spiral towards the thick white head the entire time this brew is in the glass. Almost looks like champagne. I have to admit, the marketing on this beer sucked me in. I’m a sucker for old sailing ships and this one got me. The aroma, ouch, is awful. I had low expectations after getting my nose on this brew. But then I tasted it. Man, it totally redeemed itself. Has a real fruity taste. Definitely some banana in the palate. Finishes nice and smooth. This is not what I expected, but this beer did a better than average job of delivering.

La mousse tient très bien et les bulles sont belles à voir... Bien acidulée, avec la levure très présente. Je ne suis pas un amateur de Triple alors cela peut altérer mon jugement de ce produit.

Bottle at Chew, Winnipeg. I actually didn’t pay close enough attention because I thought I had already rated this but I guess I’ve never had it before. Cool. Well, it’s a nice sweet malty belgian strong ale with quite a lot of flavour. I was actually thinking it was more flavourful than I had remembered but that’s probably because I was remembering a different beer. Nice.

75cl bottle into tulip. Minneapolis. Appearance: cloudy (especially towards the bottom of a bottle) golden liquid. Small white head. Aroma: yeast, heavy on fruit: apricot, apple. Taste: fairly sweet throughout. Dries up a bit in the finish. Palate: full body, relatively light carbonation. Long, rich finsih. Overall: a nice triple, but a little sweet for me. Very fruity aroma.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2014 Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy golden orange color with large tan-like head and fair lacing. Aroma is spicy yeasty, cheesy and fruity, mainly apricots, orange peel and banana. Taste starts with moderate sweet grainy malt. follows with yeasty and fruity esters, mouthfeel is spicy, while finish is almost without any bitterness. Full body, sticky texture and soft carbonation in palate. Rated in the past, Unibroue was one of my first and best craft breweries...

Very easy drinking strong ale. Pours golden with a thin, fast disappearing head. Strong aroma and tastes full of spices.
