Mutualaid (136), Texas, USA Aug 10, 2007 Pours honey colored with a quickly dissipating white head. Faint aromas of banana and champagne with no appreciable hop bouquet. Tastes like pear and grape with a pleasantly astringent finish. Medium body. blindeyedbetty (148), Arlington, Virginia, USA Aug 9, 2007 12 oz. bottle pours a cloudy golden with beautiful head which reduces quickly to a tight white cap with minimal lacing. Smells like sunshine and dandelions, with a front palate of lemony-citrus, middle palate of clementine and corriander and a finish of yeasty sparkle. Sweet but not overly cloying. I can certainly see why it’s called the "Gift of God." For me it’s perfectly reminiscent of a crisp spring day. Nephilium (541), Ohio, USA Aug 9, 2007 Slight sweetness to the aroma, along with the standard Unibroue spice element. Hints of banana, wheat, and yeast are in there as well. It pours a cloudy orange with a big fluffy white head, that fades to about half a finger floating on top. Some orange notes in the flavor, as well as the Unibroue yeast spiciness again. The alcohol is amazingly well hidden, and I wonder to myself how long will it take for the Unibroue yeast notes to fade out in a cellar. ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 8, 2007 Bottle from Cruzat: Fruity, banana, dough, vanilla, citric. Murky color with lots of sediment. 9% abv well hidden. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Aug 3, 2007 Beautiful, hazy, golden with a huge, but quickly disappearing head. The aroma has notes of fruit, sweetness and a hint of yeast. The flavour is initially very sweet, but I gradually get used to it. It has notes of light fruit, but in a heavy way, I find peach, banana, some coriander and citrus, mostly in the finish. The alcohol isn’t present and It’s a nice beer. oakbluff (298), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Aug 1, 2007 Apple juice on the noste- appearance is of apple juice color. Carbonation is more subdued than other Unibroue offerings like La Fin du Monde. Taste- apple, spicy with the classic unibroue yeast flavour. A solid offering from Unibroue, just not quite up there with there flag ships like La Fin Du Monde. SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 26, 2007 Pours cloudy yellow with slight white head; smooth aromas of fruit and yeast; very pleasant and not too strong; flavors are equally soft, but in the good way as it drinks very smooth whiterabbit81 (243), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 24, 2007 Pours a fuzzy looking light brown with a smallish white head. Aroma a good bit cidery, and a bit malty. Flavor is an explosion of apples, pears, yeast, pepper and a tad of alcohol. Aftertaste quite like cider. Does Unibroue do nothing but Belgians?
