yomintyfresh (53), USA Jun 13, 2007 One of my current favorites. Smells and tastes sweet - yeasty and slightly citrusy but not overwhelming. Alcohol content well-hidden. Goes down easily. holdenn (1432), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 12, 2007 12 oz bottle from DiCarlo’s. Pours a cloudy orange with a tall white head. Sweet Unibroue yeast nose with candi sugar and orange peeol. Overly carbonated, really prickly on my tongue. Orange peel, yeast flavors ... something is off, its dirty and earthy. The alcohol is very prominent. I just can’t get into this brewery. keith0718 (157), Olathe, Kansas, USA Jun 9, 2007 I had this some time ago and forgot to rate it. I remember that it was, at least for me, hardly distinguishable from my memory of Unibroue’s other beers. mbrandon2w (109), Worcester, Massachusetts, USA Jun 4, 2007 Sampled at Mondial de la Biere. Similar yeasty characteristics of other Unibroue beers. Overall nice, hides the alcohol amazingly well. slimchill (775), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 3, 2007 Bottle. Simple apple yeast nose. Very cloudy light yellow with active carbonation and a foamy head. Uncomplex flavor, mostly like the aroma. Drinkable but slightly sour. leeburg (148), Juneau, Alaska, USA May 31, 2007 $6.99 for the 750. Golden orange pour with a considerable white head. I found it to be quite yeasty and wheaty, comparable to the Gouden Carolus Triple. Fruits and spice. Not Unibroue’s best, but absolutely worth a try. Allen (1289), Switzerland May 31, 2007 Updated: Apr 7, 2008Bottled 341ml. It pours a pale hazy orange beer with a decent white head. Very strong malt aromas. Reminds of of a smoked whisky beer (Adelscott). Yeasty, peaches, wheat in the nose. Again, peaches in the taste, strong malt presence. Some fruity esters, lemon, some pine needles, a hint of melon, then a decent amount of coriander comes through. Strong dried apricot presence in the taste. Pretty light bodied. Pleasant finish of oranges and coriander. A nice dry aftertaste of dried apricots and some lingering yeastiness. A very interesting beer indeed. Rerate: A lot of viatamin tablets-characteristic in the taste. Definately a very special beer. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA May 30, 2007 750. Another yummy Unibroue. Pours a clear bright gold with raging swirls of bubbles wriggling all over the place. Thick bubbly white head that falls quickly. Big pear and apple nose with a bit of white sugar and floral/grass. Nice full body with tingly carb and forward, sweetish flavors--apples, pears, light caramel. Slightly sticky finish. Really solid effort, but pretty boozy, sweet, and sticky for regular sessioning.
