beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Apr 15, 2007 Pours lightly hazy yellow/orange with a tall white head. Very estery nose and flavor with a blend of spice and fruits. Flavors range from apple, pineapple, citrus. Very high carbonation really brings the flavors to life and gives it a great texture on the palate. KDorgan12 (163), Memphis, Tennessee, USA Apr 13, 2007 Memphis-750 mL bottle. Aggressive carbonation, almost like a sprite, I could hear it from across the room! Aroma had some cidery/apple notes. Body was surprisingly full (appearance had a thin weak look-almost like an american light beer) with caramel dominating. Alcohol warms the tummy for days. BustedFlat (552), Edina, Minnesota, USA Apr 12, 2007 Updated: Jun 7, 2007Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass, cloudy yellow with a medium head. Aroma was of pineapple and yeast. The taste had notes of pineapple and perhaps apricot. There was a touch of sourness and a definite bitterness.
jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Apr 12, 2007 Updated: Mar 2, 200912 oz bottle. The aroma was sweet with some notes of some sort of fruit. It poured a cloudy orange with chunks of yeast (i think). It sort of reminded me of Victory’s Golden Monkey a bit. Good brew. I want to try this back to back with Fin du Monde to compare. keepersj12 (774), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Apr 12, 2007 Bill’s top rated beer at The Foodery in Philadelphia. Cloudy amber with a big head. No lacing to speak of. Fruity aroma. Great smooth taste with a sweet dry finish. Excellent even if it is from French Canada. RobBestwick (555), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England Apr 11, 2007 750ml bottle. Sweet floral and citrus aroma. Cloudy orange hue with a lovely big frothy head. Spicy, orange, peppery, citrus, lime flavours. Quite complex and interesting. Decent lacing. Full bodied with some bitterness in the finish. V Good. reakt (938), Greater London, England Apr 8, 2007 Updated: Sep 2, 2007bottle from quinns. Gift of God indeed! I cannot stop raving about this beer! It took me past my point of reason and logic - I subsequently missed the last train home, used the toilets at the Worlds End Bar in Camden, scarfed down kebab shop chips, wasted £2 on a half pint of lowenbrau and rode a nightbus from camden to borough w/ a stupid smile plastered across my face. It was worth it! Opaque gold with a short lived white head. Fruity vanilla nose with white grapes and tropical fruits. Taste of (primarily) pineapple with yeast, vanilla and apple bobbing to the surface. Dreamy finish of honey and pineapple - a taste that followed me all the way home. Full bodied and smooth. Delicious stuff!!! Veer (355), Landskrona, Sweden Apr 7, 2007 Aroma: malty, sweet, spicy (cinnamon, cardamom), sourish, yeasty...dried melon, sweet liquorice, white grapes.
Appearance: cloudy orange yellow w/ yellowtinted head w/ very fine bubbles.
Flavour: sweet, malty, almost liquoricelike, some malty sourishness, honeylike, smooth flavour... vinous, really full-bodied.
Palate: warming, rich and thick, very sparkling
