rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 2, 2007 Excellent brew. Has a nice bubbly taste and pours a rich head. Sampled a few times in Maine and found it at BevMo. Highly recommended for a Belgian Strong Ale. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Feb 28, 2007 this one had a lot of bitterness to it. i could smell and taste a hint of lemon. decent mix of malts, drinkable but probably not a repeat buy. MadIndian (987), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 26, 2007 Updated: Feb 27, 2007Bottle. Cloudy yellow pour with full white head. Lemon and malt aroma. Dry bitter flavor. It was a little flat for me. Beltramelli (471), Campinas, Brazil Feb 26, 2007 Excessively fruity, the point to seem SOUR, in my palate. “Green Grape” is the definition next. golden coloration, fruity aroma that accurately suggests the taste that it has and persistent cream. Evident, but well balanced alcohol. The delight is aftertaste..................................PORTUGUÊS: Frutada demais, a ponto de parecer AZEDA, no meu paladar.
"Uva verde" é a definição mais próxima. Mas esse é só o grande defeito dela, motivo pelo qual não dei uma nota maior.
Na verdade, é uma breja de coloração fulgurante, turbidez moderada, aroma frutado que sugere exatamente o gosto que ela tem e creme persistente. Álcool evidente, mas bem balanceado. A delícia é mesmo o retrogosto.
Vale a pena.. gallaghermurph (29), Washington DC, USA Feb 25, 2007 One of the few Unibroue beers I’ve yet to have - and I’ve gotta say, it’s weel worth the wait. Pours a saturnes gold color that is very slightly cloudy. The head pours large, but is not terribly dense and dissipates quickly to leave a ring but no lacing. Aroma is decidedly fruity, but not overwealmingly so. I’d say almost a fruit cocktail of sorts. I’m getting peaches, pears, apple, and a citurs layer. Through it all is the obligatory Unibroue yeast, but not nearly as strong as usual (Ephemere has more yeast)! Mouthfeel is consistent moderate carbonation. Not too thick, not too thin. The taste is pretty much what you get from the aroma, with a well balanced yeast and fruit upfront and slowly fading away into a fruit aftertaste. Outstanding beer, and very, very drinkable! jalichio999 (502), Brazil Feb 25, 2007 Updated: Sep 5, 2008Fortemente frutada e floral. Notas de cravo, limão e laranja. Talvez haja canela. O retrogosto traz consigo o floral e o frutado tão evidentes nessa excelente cerveja. Dezzilu (211), Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA Feb 23, 2007 True story: I was enjoying the wonderful fruity smell of this beer so much, that I actually snorted a small bit up my nose and almost gagged. My wife laughed herself silly. Anyway, the aroma is truly wonderful and reminded me of a good fruit cocktail. I thought this was a lambic, and not a strong Belgium The taste lived up to the smell, and the finish was quite wonderful. The only thing holding this beer back is the somewhat faint color. Probably the best beer I have drank with this much alcohol (9%). Drink with caution but, by all means, drink. Long live Canada, home of some of the best beers in the world. Cheers. MrBendo (1039), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Feb 19, 2007 Cloudy amber with a medium head. No lacing, and the head retention wasn’t there. Aroma of musty, belgian yeast, apples and white wine. Tastes amazing, with a spicy zest and a bit of alcohol warmth. Well balanced flavor. Sweet. acid, bitter. I love it.
