BeerBlockaid (465), West Palm Biatch, Florida, USA Dec 22, 2004 12oz. Gift of God brought straight from Quebec. Murky orange colour with a nice thick white head. Hints of cirtus, fruits and some spices. yum! Same with the aroma. Very smooth on the tounge and back of mouth. Very enjoyable. I agree with PigFoot. Good with food. Save the Maudite for after:)
AllAboutStout (523), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 5, 2008 This is easily my favorite of the Unibroue offerings. I could drink this all the time.
Pours a dark gold in color, with a highly carbonated head forming on top. Smell is floral and fruity. Plenty of ripe fruit, mostly lighter fruits. Taste is delicious juicy fruits, some noticeable, typical unibroue yeast. Very bubbly mouthfeel and very easy drinking. Could drink a lot of this. smjohnst (160), , Pennsylvania, USA Oct 1, 2008 This was a GREAT beer. It was a little bit similar to Weyerbacher’s Merry Monks. I DEFINITELY couldn’t sense the high alcohol content in it at all. It was very easily drinkable. DrDavid (323), Johnson, Vermont, USA Sep 30, 2008 (Bottle). Fruity aroma. Orange-amber with fizzy white head. Flavor is fruity, apples and oranges, and a little sweet. Spiciness in the finish. Not bad. Beer_2000 (1269), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 28, 2008 330 ml bottle. Golden body with a disappearing white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, spicy and some alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, fruity, spicy and alcohol. I find this balanced and very drinkable. For me this could easy go as a nice Belgium triple. flatmatt (94), Northville, Michigan, USA Sep 28, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours gold with a small white fizzy head. Aroma is strong, sugary apple juice, spice, and a hint of cloves. Flavor is lighter on the apple, but still fairly sweet, with bready malts, cloves, hints of caramel and dark fruits, and a little hoppiness. Not bad.
