Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a nice white head. Lots of sweet fruit and spices in the nose with much the same on the tongue. Very sweet with an alcohol warmth, very nice for a cold night

Pours hazy amber gold with medium bone white head that reduces quickly but retains throughout as attractive, cappuccino-esque skim. Nose is pears, cloves, apricots, bread, white pepper, honey, yeast. There’s all that and more on the palate, with the banana and coriander notes of a classic Belgian wheat stepping forward, but accompanied by pineapple and green apple. Peppery yeasts and spicy hops add zest while doughy malt provides a gentle base. The creamy texture and sparkling, medium body are satisfying without being too filling, but have the downside of masking the 9 percent ABV. You will want a session, but take care when you stand up. This is a very refined Belgian-style wheat ale, the equal of anything to be found in Belgium. I think of it as a micron below La Fin du Monde and Rochefort 10, but really, I can’t point to a flaw. One of the world’s great beers.

12oz bottle. 8/6/17 code date. Appearance: deep golden and hazy with a frothy white head. Aroma: Orange, clove, pear esters dominate. Ethanol also apparent. Taste: Rich, sweet citrus orange and clove up front, giving way to pear on the backside. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a very high carbonation and hint if alcohol warmth. Finish: Dry with strong pear flavors linger with brisk bitterness. Overall: A fuller bodied, more citrus forward version of a BGS. This one is fuller bodied and definitely a supper. Very good.

Another high quality brew by the folks in Chambly. Fruity, yeasty with a solid malt backbone. Not fancy but very well balanced.

Bottle from my Unibroue Sommelier 6 pack of their mixed beers. A nice golden orange body, with a fairly thin white head. You can immediately smell the Belgian yeasts when you open the bottle. It is accompanied by honeyed fruits, like bananas and coriander and a touch of bready malts. Tastes are certainly in the Ale on Lees side of things. Orange tinged spiciness lays underneath it all. Would definitely gladly buy and drink this one again.

750ml bottle shared with wife and bought from Pasquier. Aroma: lemon, abricot, wheat, spices. App: cloudy pale, medium head no retention. Taste and palate: medium body, oily, average carbonation, light acidity and warming alcohol finish. Overall: this is like the hundred times I drink this beer and I still think it?s still a really good beer. Really enjoy the finish. Drink really cold, not that good when it gets warmer.

Bottle. Aroma is peachy and boozy. The taste is similar, very fruity and plenty of alcohol in it. I like the flavor overall, but it’s actually kinda sweet. Maybe a bit too much. Overall, I recommend it! 9% alcohol.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque brown amber with yeast particles. Light head. Nutty nose. Sweet taste that hides the alcohol well. Canada has a winner!
