Mar 9, 2008 Seemed like a fruity triple to me. Good if that’s your bag... it’s not mine so much, but it’s not bad. Lovely deep hazy golden pour with a generous and lasting foamy head. Honey and spice on the nose. Citrus and summer fruits on the palate. Hides the alcohol very well. As with Maudite, I found a similar creamy yeasty/fruity taste (more sour this time) that I don’t love. I can see why folks would like it, but I’m not a big fan.

Aug 15, 2005 12oz. bottle. Hazy golden color with a small white head. Fruity aroma of apricots and toffee. Flavor of apricots sauteed in butter, bread and honey. I can always tell a Unibroue beer from their house character but this beer was different. Not as yeasty and spicy as most of the others I’ve tried.

Feb 10, 2008 Bottle purchased at Kazansky’s in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh.
Pours clear gold, white head. Aroma is funky, musty, tangy: dried fruit and cheese. Flavor is similar, but has a bit too much banana and sugar sweetness. This would be better more salty, bitter, and dry.

Apr 21, 2002 Updated: May 26, 2004lemony, very light, estery with sweet artificial pineapple, and thin and tangy at the same time as sweet in the finish. lollyish and annoying, but drinkable certainly for a 9%er.

Nov 9, 2005 Strong gold appearance with slght haze and fizzy head that dies out quick. Aroma is light but smells of apple, grass and an ever present yeast. The drink is rather flat and low in carbonation but that could be due to an extensive shelf life. Signs of spiced yeast, apple, other juicy fruit and a aftertaste of metal. Not impressing, but then again not bad.

Jan 21, 2007 Hazy gold pour. Frothy white head. Enticing spicy aroma of sweet fruit, peaches and ripe orange, vanilla, caramel, clove. Initially sugary sweet flavor, but peppery in the finish. Tastes of fruits and spice. Soft, comfortable palate. Medium body, watery texture. Perky carbonation. Short finish and that is the weakness along with the texture. Otherwise, a solid, enjoyable beer. I wouldn’t hesitate buying this again. Very good.

Oct 22, 2005 Bottle. Golden color, cloudy, with small white head and particulate matter. Fruity, yeasty aroma. Flavor is interestingly complex--apples, spice, and a sweet finish that ends a little tart. Slight alcohol in aftertaste. Very good.

Feb 28, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Unibroue sampler pack from John’s Grocery (Iowa City, IA). Poured a dark hazy wheaty color with a very prominent white bubbly head. The brew continues to bubble and appears highly carbonated. A pleasant aroma that is a bit sweet, with spices and some tell tale belgian style yeast hints. Pleasant on the nose and the eyes. Initial taste is sweet and spicy, yet not over powering. Some citrusy sweet parts and a nice crisp feel. Finishes tart / bitter, but enjoyable for the most part. A nice beer. Will drink again.
