Bomber into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy light orange, with a medium fluffy white head that fades quickly, leaving good lacing. Nose is fruit, cloves, bananas. Taste is typical Belgian-fruit, malt, and that peppery Unibroue finish. Delicious.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle served in a Duvel tulip glass.
A: Pours a dark orange color. Bit cloudy. Forms a solid thin bubbled white head that dissipates quickly leaving very few spotty lacings
S: Very fruity and nutty. Strong notes of grapes, vanilla, toffee, caramel malts and nuts. Spicy and a bit peppery too: Unibroue trademark. Flowery hops in the end which is also a bit booze
T: Sweet upfront. Strong Belgian character. Very spice and complex. As suggested by the nose, strong notes of grapes, vanilla, toffee, caramel malts and nuts. In overall, a sweet and malty beer. Yeasts profile is Belgian, as expected. Mild hoppy bitterness in the very end
M: Heavy, creamy and molasses body. Medium to low carbonation. Malty, fruity and nutty aftertaste
O: Great drinkability. Just another Unibroue masterpiece. No mistake!

Bottle. Hazy straw pour with a couple fingers of white head after and aggressive pour. Yeast and tropical aroma, banana. Taste is heavy on the orange with spice, coriander, as well. Light body, but still a better sipper than gulper. Another good one from Unibroue.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
"the nose and flavor are dominated by a soft yeastiness, and a not so soft spice & clove presence. tight carbonation, nice mouthfeel, slightly alcoholic finish. overall, it’s another good, but not great entry. worth a try. comparable to a strong weizen or good dunkelwizen minus the maltiness."

Initially, peculiar. Later, pleasant. I think this is a very good beer with a unique (sweet?) flavor. I can understand how some people might not enjoy it.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
small bottle from haskells. light orange, with some haziness. white head. Alcohol, orange peel, spice nose - potent citrus. Very nice aroma. Nice yeast funk to go with slight spiciness and orange peel. Some clove spice. Very crisp, very fresh tasting, Tough style to master, but this is a very solid effort. Spicy for a belgian strong, but it totally works. Nice beer. Certainly a gift to me.

This beer is one of my favorites but never had time to review it..hazy, straw golden color. very thick long lasting head with good lacing. this smells very fruity : oranges and pear with some caramel malts and spices like coriander, maybe some fresh bread to it ! taste must be balanced by a mad scientist! very mellow, high carbonation, very delicate, floral and sweet from the fruits. Spicy in the aftertaste. this beer looks like La Fin Du Monde but much more complex that her acolyte !!! I would go out and say it’s a whitbier on steroids but this is just how I feel about it. very enjoyable! cheers!

I’m still not sure what to call it, other than that Belgian Strong Ale is generically sufficient. In any case, this is a wonderful and lively, entertaining fun beer. Maybe not the most attractive, but still appropriate appearance, a heavily cloudy milky-gold, with a firm meringue of white foam. Aroma is quite lively and curious - even lambic like. There’s a possible but unlikely hint of brett., some cherry, some wheaty malt, and raspberry notes. Surprisingly the flavor bears little resemblence to the nose, with a moderately tart, lightly sweet body leading to a balanced mildly fruity finish.

750 ml bottle from La Vista Liquor. Pours clear orange-gold with a slight white head that doesn’t retain. Aroma of peaches, honey, pineapple, bread, and straw. Has a well balanced taste focused on sweet, fruity flavors and warming alcohol. I can taste the coriander and orange peel, kind of like a super strong witbier. I think I got a fairly flat one, soft carbonation, medium to full bodied, creamy texture, long, sweet, boozy finish. Good for the price ($8.99), has a unique flavor, I would get this again.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle purchased at Haskells. Snifter glass. Hazy gold leaning towards orange with a nice even frothy head. Unibroue emphasizes the aroma well on this beer with a strong yeast and tropical smell. Very fresh tasting ale. Mouthfeel really asserts itself right off the bat. Spice plays well with a decent amount of sugar sweetness. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Impressive in general. I would highly recommend seeking it out.
