HermanW (619), Coevorden, Netherlands Jun 1, 2007 Beatifull tripel . Most triples have a terrible alcohol taste. This one is in a very good balance. My compliments. Egon (392), Gothenburg, Sweden May 24, 2007 Part of a bottle. Hazy light colour. Spicy and flowers. Reminds of a garden of flowers actually. faroeviking (6024), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands May 22, 2007 Bottle. Bit hazy orange colour. Aroma is yeasty, malty and sweet with some spices. The flavour is spicy and malty, caramellic, yeasty, alcoholic and bitter-sweet in the finish. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium May 19, 2007 Bit aged sample Orange-gold, very carbonated beer; medium whipped-cream head, slowly collapsing. Perfumey, strawberry, oxydized malts, biscuit as aromas. Cookie malt, sweet, sugar (yes, brewers, one CAN taste the thumbprint of candi sugar); sweet, sugarpreserved fruits, honey in the finish. A pinch of ginger. Medium bodied, a bit slick, not attenuated as usual for this kind of beer. Another proof that Unibroue beers simply can’t age. For such a reasonably strong beer, a few years more ought to be perfectly possible. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA May 10, 2007 11.2 oz bottle from robinvboyer - thanks Robin! Pours into my chalice a lightlt hazed gold, lots of carbonation, with a thick white head that decreases to a thick film that never goes away. Sweet, fruity nose, peach and tropical fruits, yeasty and a bit dusty. Tropical fruit flavors, and a spicy, clovelike zing. Medium-light body, sweet but dusty and dry finish. Very nice! Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden May 5, 2007 Bottle, 75cl. Hazy yellow colour with a large off-white head. Aroma of yeast, dough & citrus. Sourish bitter flavour with a nice tone of cinnamon. Medium to high carbonation, average body. eyesandsmiles (179), Mission Viejo, California, USA Apr 29, 2007 A pretty good beer from unibroue (notable mostly for their trois pistole) a goldenish appearance. no real head. a little unsubstantial as far as flavor goes. some hints of citrus. hughie (3018), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Apr 13, 2007 Hazy orange-gold with a large white head. Leather and yeast aroma augmented by a sweet, sugary fruitiness. Front of taste is strong, alcoholic with some citric notes as well as sweetness. The flaw in this well-crafted beer is that it lacks a decent finish, subsiding into an unexpected watery vacancy.
