Hazy dark orange, not much head, lively carbonation. Strong vinegar, yeast and molasses aroma.Fruity (plums) and yeasty Belgian type ale. Sweetish, alcohol picks a bit up in the finish. Quite delicious, but could be maltier and fullier ... maybe.

D’une couleur ambrée légèrement orangée. Mousse abondante. Arôme de pommes, poires et épices. Goût très fruité, présence notoire de pommes et légère brise de poirs, légèrement épicé, touche d’amertume. Selon moi, c’est la plus sous-évaluée de la gamme Unibroue.

Really difficult to smell any aroma. Taste is bitter and enhanced with a malt flavor. Great palate, but still a too strong beer...I habitually like Unibroue beer because of the fruity taste, but this is not the case here.

Cloudy orange, quite bright with unfiltered dark streaks running through. Medium strength nose of spicy malts; shows good lift. Classic strong beer palate of rich dark malts, some slightly stewed fruits and a fairly spicy finish. Pretty good stuff but just doesn’t get to ’eleven’ for me.

Pours a hazy light amber color, rich in sediments with a big white, beautiful and lingering head. Aroma is rich and complex with touches of honey, ripe fruits and the trademark spicy nose of Unibroue. Taste is as a good tripel, mostly sweet, fruity and mellow, very pleasant and with some hints of vanilla, banana and peaches. Lighter than others from the same brewer it’s a good alternative. Very good.

Eau Bénite is another great beer from Unibroue. It is not their finest nor is it a necessary part of their lineup - considering Fin du Monde clearly outclasses it in the Tripel style. However, it is a good brew and you do not need to be a gastronome to figure that out. A frothy white head billows above the murky pumpkin-colored body and quickly diminishes to a persistent film. An unassuming appearance which seems to follow from Unibroue’s modest intentions for this beer. The nose is a bit more intriguing and strikes a good balance between fruits, light malts and a grainy quality familiar to tripels. Banana, pineapple, mirabelle, apricot and peach struggle to capture your attention while the deep malty sugar, honey and toffee aromas reside in the background. A touch of spices is apparent, but only cinnamon particularly stands out. Black pepper becomes more prominent in the flavor and pineapple, orange and caramel traits are also emphasized. The texture feels slightly overcarbonated but nothing drastically wrong while the finish suspends the peppery caramel flavors on the back of your tongue. Yet another good effort from Unibroue!
