Aroma is citric and green apple. A bit of faint herbal notes.
Spicy herb shot and lemon sour middle to the flavour. natural carbonation keeps flavour sharp and quick. A little flat flavour in the finish. Pernille (518), Copenhagen, Denmark

Label is cool, it looks good in the glass etc.. But the flavor is too sour and it tastes like yeast as well. CampbellWilson (533), Scotland

I managed to flick the sediment in in the pour (sometimes this is deliberate, but not today. Ooops.) Golden with white head. Lots of floaters. Orangy spicy yeasty aroma. Firm mouthfeel. Dry finish. fluids (364), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 22, 2005 Head disappears quickly. Murky pale orange yellow color. Apple Lemon strong smell. Taste is interesting and complex. Bitterness hits you then it balances out with a sweet tail. Overall mild but it switches in taste between bitter and sweet evenly. Obtained bottle at Provigo on St. Catherine in Montreal. willblake (2174), Belcamp, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 21, 2005 07.10.05, 341ml bottle at Forquet Forchette, RBSG tour. Pale, hazed, smallish white head lasts. Stronger fruits on nose than the 1837 and Frigante. Mild and a bit bland. Not a knockout, certainly not a big presence like the others listed as tripels. Very dry to finish, buttery middle comes out with temp. ALLOVATE (1126), Perth, Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 21, 2005 Another off the ranks of the Unibroue lot that didn’t quite leave me impressed. Looked, aroma was pleasant, but it all went pear-shaped inside. Poured into a chalice, cool but not cold, hazy orange body with a high amount of fine carbonation holding up an initially fluffy, then dense, 1" white head that lasted the distance and left a little lace. Strong yeast and alcohol spice in the aroma, vanilla and fresh baked lemon meringue pie with a little toffee coming through. Quite fruity and lightly sweet in the mouth, cantaloupe, pineapple and mandarins. High in carbonation (not biting) and relatively light in body, it seemed heavily subdued as far as ’bounce out’ flavours. Citric flavour becomes more predominant as it warms and the yeast becomes pasty, yet the finish remains crisp and short for the duration. Reasonably balanced, for whatever flavour was perceivable, and no noticeable alcohol made this a decent beer, but not a good Tripel alongside others of its style. Undemanding!!! | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2005 Very yeasty aroma with a hint of oranges in there, a fair chunk of alcohol. Creamy palate, very clean whilst having a thick creaminess. Nicely balanced spice flavour. Good lacing over a murky body. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA

Theres something in the aroma/flavor that I can’t put into words- This is a good brew, similar to the Unibroue 1837 with a little more spice and a funkier aftertaste. A nice brew.
