| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 24, 2005 Pour is clear golden with a big bubbled quickly fading head that left nice lacing...smell is initially a little off putting...musty, yeast, then sweat, cloves, alcohol...definately grew on me...taste is a little fruity up front with the ever so slight pepper and clove coming on and allowing a little bitterness toward the end...very lively mouthfeel...not great but quite under-rated...thanksto tiggmtl for this! | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 21, 2004 Color is a muddy amber/ orange with a large, fluffy white head. Aroma is in a class by itself: angelic, uplifting, arousing. Fresh, floral, soft, sweet,...a compound of beauty and wonder, entirely in a universe of it’s own!
Body is medium, but light on the tongue, sweet and spicy, with tingly hops! Full presence on the palate, lilting and dancing hops! This is a true contender to Duvel.
S’wonderful, S’marvelous, S’whatIlike to drink!
