MrManning (1634), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2004 Reminds me of Blanche de Chamblay with some extra alcohol. Jadore and I rated together and both found this quality. Head was minimal, white and didn’t last long. Aroma is alcohol, fruits (citrus) and hops. Taste is citrus and alcohol, but not bad. Mouthfeel is watery. Cross between blanche and La Fin. JadoreBlanche (114), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 17, 2004 Bottle: Pours a strawcoloured body with a slightly white head. Aromas of molasses, citrus, and alcohol. Taste is citrusy, and can tast the alcohol, closely resembles blanche but stronger alcohol.
Watery feel and alcohol aftertaste, slightly bitter. Not too bad! mullet (798), Melbourne, Australia Oct 14, 2004 Cloudy orange with poor head retention. Stewed canned pear aroma, supermarket non-alcoholic white wine, toasted sugar with loads of other fruit. Sugary sweet flavour with lots of fruitiness, kind of like an insipid cider. It’s probably actually not that sweet, but it lacks anything to balance besides a little bit of alcohol. Not my thing, unfortunately. Thanks ol juntan. Dorwart (1807), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Sep 28, 2004 Large white head of fine bubbles. Settles quickly but reforms nicely upon swirling. Nice pungent aroma of white grapes, bananas, a bit of spice and a little yeast. Color is a cloudy golden orange. Very light and clean flavor. A little watery actually but still very good. More light fruit and spices. Fizzy in the mouth. Little warming from the alcohol. Finish is clean, dry and very refreshing. Very little hops presence which I have come to expect in triples. A very good "light" triple. Thanks to tiggmtl for this one. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 20, 2004 Hazy golden color, heavy herbal aroma, sweet light alcoholic taste, full body, light sweet finish. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 14, 2004 lemon yellow hazy pour with a quick dissipating head (typical of unibroue)... honey and some citrus fresh aromas. Truly bizarre taste I can not place easily... like pasta and citrus and grass. Zesty and bittersweet! Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2004 Straight-forward tripel. It’s a decent example. Pours gold and hazy with a thin white head. Grassy herbal hop and honey aroma. Some yeast and bread crust. Light green fruit. Warming finish. Good but not enough character to set it apart. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2004 bottle. fantastic floral aroma...fresh sour apples, pears, citrus, and some alcohol. hazy golden colour with a small creamy long-lasting head. complex. acidic. has a warm alcohol finish. I thoroughly enjoyed this beer.
