Kåstå (1149), Mol, Belgium Sep 9, 2003 Cloudy light blond beer with a small head. Yeast and light citrus aroma. The taste is yeast, citrus and wee bit spicy. Quite ok and a typical Unibroue taste. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 25, 2003 Grainy (wheat and corn) with deep musky aroma. Low maltiness and no hops smell. Cloudy golden wheat color - a little sediment - with pillowy white foamy head that laces (and crawls out of the bottle like a washing machine with too much soap). Medium body, a little silky, with alcohol burn and medium carb. Alcohol in taste, very grainy and somewhat raw. Light overall taste. Mild sweet malt up front, finishing with a mild grainy bitter. Mild, pleasant after, almost weak. Decent little beer. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA Aug 25, 2003 Awesome label like always. This artist needs label credits for sure. The Eau Benite seemed right in the same vein as all the less popular Unibroue beers: golden, fizzy, and chock full of bubblegummy light Belgian yeast. There is a touch of unpleasantness on the palate usually akin to lagers - that funky musky grain feeling, but all in all this was fairly good in general, a little tinny but good. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Aug 24, 2003 Pours a hazy orange golden with a huge puffy white head. Caramel malt and bready Belgain yeast aroama. Flavor is citric and lightly spiced. Finishes dry and fruitty. Pretty bland and typical unibroue for the most part. SJP (483), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 20, 2003 Golden amber color with a thin white head. Spicy and sweet aroma giving way to a smooth mouthfeel, nice sweet taste and a bit of a hopsy bitternes at the end. Damn nice MAP (1085), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Aug 20, 2003 Opened this up, and BAM, its fizzing out of the bottle....damn premature ejactualtion.... Once I poured it, pure goodness. Nice golden color, decent head and a sweet spicy smell I expect from unibroue. Overall this beer will remind me of being smooth. IT has a silky palate and only a slight hiny of lingering yeast. McWhite (107), Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 14, 2003 Apple cider brown color with a decent size white head. Definite notes of banana with something less pleasant mixed into the smell. Tasted yeasty with a bit of a banana taste, almost like a distorted banana bread. It was ok, but I have higher hopes for the other Unibroues I bought. Rastacouere (5551), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 22, 2003 Updated: Dec 22, 2003Hazy dark golden ale with a generous white head despite low carbonation. The nose is one of yeasts, bananas, oranges. Very smooth in mouth for a tripel, ABV is also kinda low where triples are usually more in the whereabouts of 9%. Fruity yeast festival interupted only by a balancing bitterness.
