epassa (105), Sao Paulo, Brazil Oct 29, 2007 Golden color, huge white head. Aroma: Citric, orange zests, sweet, fruits jam. Palate: Citric, sweet, yeast (Unibroue’s yeast), spice, refreshing. RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Oct 25, 2007 Was a frigging gusher. Spicy orange aroma. It’s OK, kinda funky. More orange and coriander in the flavor. Not bad, but has a rather thin mouthfeel. Disappointing for a Unibroue brew. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Oct 19, 2007 Updated: Feb 28, 2008Not as big as some of its Unibroue cousins, Au Benite is still a nice beer. It’s lighter than La Fin du Monde, but has a similar color and character. It’s a little thin in places and sweet/yeasty like many other Unibroues but is still interesting and goes down well. mgermani (862), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Oct 17, 2007 Pours a slightly hazy apricot-orange with small loosely-bubbled head and a strong aroma of sweet, light fruit. Apricot, light breadiness. The signature Unibroue yeast is immediately detectable in the taste, present alcohol, golden beet syrup, mulling spices - more savory than floral, and light bubble-gum. Carbonation is initially overwhelming, but follows with a flat but warm finish. Body is creamy until the head runs out. This beer is very good at first, but as it sits and the carbonation goes (along with the head) it suffers. Very decent - oddly the last Unibroue in wide circulation that I haven’t tasted. Good as a sort of beer-candy. Yum. rodenbach99 (679), Longueuil, Quebec, Canada Oct 7, 2007 750 ml, 341 ml, autre bière d’Unibroue de style Triple, probablement la moins bonne, fin du monde, 1837, fleurdelisée, vaisseau d’or sont selon moi supérieur. Svesse (2601), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 6, 2007 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2007) Apricot yellow colour with huge, white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, oranges and hints of spices. Fruity, slightly spicy taste with apricots and citrus. Warming and nice belgian style tripel. janubio (157), Spain Oct 3, 2007 330 ml. bottle. Pours a golden colour with a good head and leaves a lace foming some nice drawings. Smell is fruity, sweet apples and white grapes, with coriander and molasses. Sweet flavor, with a body lighter than expected, but good. Taste of apple cake, marzipan, white grapes, vanilla. Tessic (439), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Sep 28, 2007 This triple poured a light yellow colour with alight foamy head. To the nose you could smell pineapple, cream / milk, lemon...etc. First taste was very smooth and quite creamy with flavours of caramel, cream and yeast. The palate has a lasting cream taste to it. Different, very different.
