Delicious smells of fresh apple, some spices, and yeast. Brew pours cloudy golden with an initialy large egg white head that is modestly retained. Flavor is multi-layered and starts out sedately. Then the flavor begin to open up middle is the fresh apples of the nose the finish is spicy/peppery. Very good beer. Kaya161 (1129), San Diego, California, USA

I didn’t even know the style of beer i got until I poured it... ahh, this must be a Belgian. They do have a distinctive look, smell and taste. It’s the citrusy, fizzy, fruity, yeasty sort. It was a good beer, tasty though it was not remarkable. bonvivant (164), Smithfield, Virginia, USA

Has a pretty nice honey-coloured appearance and a decent head. I was surprised about the slightly sticky malt taste but it was well balanced by spices and hops. Not much of a aftertaste. Nothing like a good Belgian triple, but a nice drop al the same. hughie (3091), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2007 Hazy orange-gold with a large white head. Leather and yeast aroma augmented by a sweet, sugary fruitiness. Front of taste is strong, alcoholic with some citric notes as well as sweetness. The flaw in this well-crafted beer is that it lacks a decent finish, subsiding into an unexpected watery vacancy. Magicdave6 (5560), London, Greater London, England

Aroma is heavy fruity yeastyness, with candy sugar kickin in, some floural spice off the hops. Taste is similar, quite a kick off the alcohol, but nice. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2005 Bottle (750ml). Bottle courtesy of blankboy. Poured very hazy orange with a smallish foamy lasting white head. Aroma is yeasty, malt sweet, apricots, white wine, a bit peppery. Taste is mildly german witbier-like (spicy, juicy and malty), with the fruit and yeast very much in evidence. Mouthfeel moderately juicy, not a big beer, mild mannered with a short sweetish linger. Pleasant, refreshing, juicy, initially hides the alcohol well, but it strenthens as it warms. Decent.
