Draft at Taphouse/Queensway. Ah, what a lovely beer. Light in color, this drinks with a nice fresh, fruity character. Lemony citrus presides, and the beer has a fun effervescent delivery. Nice herbal finish. Yum. (#4821, 11/10/2012)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Corked and caged 750. Nose golden with malt and honey flavors, spicy, yeasty and throwing off tons of fruity esters. Candis? Hazy golden body with a dense white head. Taste lightly sweet but with spice and rindy notes dries out somewhat, very gentle warming but the classiest of all alcohol contributions, full-bodied with only moderate carbonation, low-medium bitterness. Just a killer yeast effect here, very spicy and full of fruit and floral notes, a little woody without being too airy.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured sparkling gold in color with a creamy white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, mellow black pepper. Flavor is spicy and a touch sweet. Enjoyed very much but overall unremarkable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours gold-yellow with a soft, bubbly, wet white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast, fruit, earth, grass, touch banana, hint of wheat. Taste is sweet; candi, fruit, grapes. Taste is also a bit spicy, grassy and has Unibroue’s trademark Belgian yeast flavor. Mouth feel is a bit syrupy. Some lacing. Medium carbonation. As with most of Unibroue’s beers, the quality is unquestionable. But I don’t feel like anything here stands out especially well here. Nothing makes it unique among the pack. That being said, it’s drinkable. It’s not bad. But it isn’t unique...though, the alcohol is pretty well hidden.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - part of a two-pack "Diabolic Pleasures" with Maudlin - a steal at $11.99 - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Pours a sparkling medium golden with a nice soft white head. Aroma has some white grapes and fruit cocktail notes, a mild touch of licorice, some grassy notes. Flavor is full bodied but mellow at the same time. Some lemony notes, some sweet cake mix dough, some candi sugar notes, a finish of white grapes. Mouthfeel is nice and sticky. Very enjoyable on an Easter afternoon watching NCAA basketball.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This was phenomenally delicious. Good balance between some light fruits such as apple and a bit more darker like banana or plum. Lots of yeast and white pepper. Thick mouth feel with a generous head.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy golden color with a super thick white head. Aroma is of yeast, coriander, cloves, malts, and spices. Flavor is very aromatic feeling in the mouth. I can pick up some cloves, spices, yeast, and hops. Leaves a spiced yeast and hop finish. Nice triple we have here.
