Very murky brown orange darkish pour, with very fine carbonation and a copious ivory head. Strong ester and fruit aroma profile, full of rich banana and pears, backed by a musky swirl of coriander, clove, and light tobacco aroma. Flavors are weak on the front end but blossom into this sweet candy continuation of the aromas. A rich, somewhat creamy mellow bready wheat and yeasts blended with masecerated cherries and raisins. Very sugary. Alcohol is well hidden in the beginning, but warms well on the way down. Good presence in the nose. Palate finishes oily and sugary, very coating and sweet cloying enveloping slick. Lots of good reminscents on the aftertaste, including apples, rum, and raisins.

Clear amber with no head and no noticeable carbonation - looks like apple juice. Aroma is ginger, apple juice. Syrupy mouthfeel, sweet on the palate with a fruity finish. Taste is quince, pear, apple juice, marmalade, sherry. Slightly oxidized, definitely past its peak.

Bottle share. Holy fuck. A blast of peppery fruit aroma. Pear, plum, peach, apple aroma and taste. Thick suspension particles.

Bottle. Chunky orange pour. Fruit, yeast, stale bread, and herbs. Interesting. Isn’t bad for being so old.

Uploading from Beer Buddy App. Notes from memory. Very interesting brew. Peppermint seemed to be the dominant flavor. Kinda made us wonder if something was wrong with the bottle. Worth trying if you're looking for a change of pace. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle at Natifest 12. Medium amber hue, aroma like distilled liquor, rich flavor that’s sweeet, smooth and sublime. Great.

Sample from a bottle at Natifest. Clear darker orange color. Little off-white head. Orange zesty taste. Sweet malts. Big body, light carbonation. Lite bite. Not my thing. Too sweet.

Bottle shared by mdfb79. Thanks Dan! A: This brew appears sightly hazy and light orange in color. The head is rather small and leaves virtually no trace of its existence. I’ll take age into consideration. S: The aroma is a huge blast of spruce and pine, but not in a hop or IPA kind of way. This beer smelled of pine cones and evergreen trees. Interesting... T: The palate is bombarded with spruce, mint, herbs, and an odd, earthy flavor. M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. D: I had trouble getting this one down. Too aggressive, unbalanced, an odd. It was fun to try, though. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-31-2011

750ml bottle - pours unfiltered caramel with tan head. Nose is basement aromas and brown sugar. Flavor adds alcohol, fruit, calvados and honey. Sweet. Quite amazing.

Bottle to taster at Natifest. Looks okay; light-brown and hazy with thin white lacing. Smells solid; plum and tart. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Solid.

Thanks to jjfoodie for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the Belgian yeast, with some wheat and assorted spices thrown in. The flavor is similar, with a strong yeast component. I also get some nice pepper and spice notes, as well as some floral and rose notes. All of this is mixed in with some biscuit and wheat notes, as well as a good dose of alcohol, Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
