Pours dark brown with a fully receding tan head. Poor head retention for a Unibroue beer, perhaps too much alcohol. Aroma of bubble gum, red wine, cherries, plums, and grape jelly. Taste is sweet candied malt, bubble gum, grape jelly. Mouthfeel is full bodied, lightly sticky with lush carbonation. Treat this beer like wine.

I had half a glass and im buzzed. My asian friends face is bright red after a couple sips, LOLZ. Seemed to of aged nicely over the past 3.5 years. True dark brown with hazy nucleus. Off white head.. which is totally elimated after a couple minutes. Nose is on the hoppy side with some yeast notes. It does have some characteristics of a belgian sour ale. Full bodied and a bit less spritzer-like than most other Unibroue’s. Sugary Fruit/hop finish that is inviting for more sips. Dangerous and Delicious.

Bottle: Brown with a small head. It tasted alot like a Belgian mixed with a Flemish Sour ale. Other flavors were green apples. It’s pretty tasty!

Bottle. Courtesy of Bierkönig. [Amager – Mikkeller Brew session @ Amager Bryghus] Huge off-white bubbly head that really lasted. Clear light brown color. Good display of lacework. Very Belgium in the initial sniff, with notes of fruit, yeast, citrus, marzipan, nuts, raisin, hint of banana, light alcohol, peach, apricot, orange and toffee like notes as well. Full bodied with a soft carbonation and somewhat thick texture. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of acidic. Sweet dried fruity mix in the finishing touch that lingers. Very nice.

22 oz bomber 2 to 3 years old. Pours dark brown to garnet; initially a large, multi-finger, tan head that becomes a medium ring. Aroma of dark sugars and fruits. Flavor is loaded with dark fruits; a light twinge from the alcohol, but the 10% is really nicely hidden; finish is also fruity and without bitterness. Medium body with lots of lively carbonation. Overall, solid; not my favorite Unibroue, but it’s still very good.

Really great. Kept pretty well for 3 years. Pours a dark brown color with amber lacing and a little bit of tan head that is gone quickly. Smells of dark fruit, some hops, bitterness, and malt. Tastes like belgian sugar, dark fruit, malt, and roasted malt. Really a great beer tha is well balanced.

Pours opaque purple with an effervescent head that quickly subsides. The aroma is vinous with some brown sugar underneath. The flavor is quite fruity sweet along with a bit of caramel. Not at all what I was expecting, but rather better all around.

750ml 2005 edition bottle. Pours a dark ruby with a small weak head. The taste is awesome: a rum raisin and dark fruit, some yeast, and some sour. The alcohol is initially strong, but lessens as it warms. A great drink. Decadent.
