I was expecting a bigger head, but this beer didn’t disapoint in any other aspect. aroma was a deep and malty and fruity. taste is similar, nice roasted malts with plum, apricot maybe a little banana. 10%abv is hidden perfectly. very nice beer and not absurdly expencive at 6.99 for a 750ml bottle. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 27, 2006 This is another excellent brew from Canada’s best brewery. The aroma is fantastic, strong fruity esters with a touch of sugary malt. The beer does look like a poured cola, with a nice lacing sweet head. Taste is cranberries and sour apples, along with honey, caramel and alcohol, with a good amount of carbonation. Fantastic. Kosovar (48), repentigny, Quebec, Canada
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 20, 2006 I finally decided to try this beer. First, I must say that it an other incredible product from Unibroue (i’m a real fan of this brewery). This beer has a cola appearance. The aroma is fruity, but at the same time its smell a little bit like cola. The taste of this beer is the true thing. For those of you who hate strong beer, this is not a beer for you. At 10%, this is the strongest beer I ever drank, and damn, I really like it. From now on, I will try each edition of this beer , 2007...) and maybe wait at new year eve to drink it. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Fizzy brownish head. Ruby colored body. Watery – despite the expectations. Cola-wise mouthfeel. Grainy, heavily spiced. Root beer aroma. Some traditional Unibroue biscuits on the background. Generally, strongly lacks the Unibroue character. Some cola and root beer flavors. destroye7 (304), Melbourne, Australia
