This is one unique tasting beer! Apple nose with hints of banana/bubble gum. Like a combination Heffe/Cider. Very tastey, but alittle on the thin-side. the finish is quick--a hint of citrus tang then it's gone...

Color is a very light cloud of hazy yellow with a thin white loose head that fades fast and leaves very minimal lace. Smell is apple-isious! Lots of green apple with the skins even, not cidery tart, more like a subdued creamyness like an apple shampoo, has some banana, pear and musty notes. Not all that strongly pungent but wonderfully complex and subtle. Taste is sparkly smooth with an easy going apply bite of green apple, with the skins too, light pear and banana with a smooth yeasty finish and a fading soft crispness. Feel is medium bodied, smooth, easy, refreshing, interesting, fun, unique, another Unibroue keeper.

Poured a cloudy golden color with a huge head with large bubbles. Strong sour apple aroma can be detected from 2 feet away. When you hold your nose to the glass, you can smell a mild citrus aroma. Smooth coriander, and a mild apple taste. Surprising, after smelling this, I was expecting a much sourer (Is that a word?) taste. This is nice and refreshing. Fairly weak palate however.

An intriguing beer. First initial aroma of apples is overwhelming, almost smells like a fermentation problem. Nice hazy golden color though. Taste is sweet and fruity. A little acitic in the mouthfeel. Bitter and spicy in the end. Not a bad combination of hops, apples and spices. Still I've had better "apple" flavored beers, a nice effort.

A beclouded lemon yellow with the head voluminous in stature, color brilliant white, frothy in texture and as it dissolves a velum like sheet of lace forms to conceal the glass. The nose “Granny smith Apple” tart, with an underlying sweetness, fresh, crisp, clean and a real treat for the senses with the start sweet and the top middling in its feel to the palate. Finish is stinging in its acidity, dry, tart, hops present and understated as they should be, quite a treat as “Fruit” beers do not rank high on list of beers. Having said that I will definitely hunt up the other varieties, as it is quite intriguing.

Cloudy golden-yellow colour with a huge, bright white head. Sour apple, cider-like aroma. Sweet, sourish, cidery flavour. Not really my style.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of this one, which is saying something cuz I like fruit beers more than most. The fruit infusion is somewhat faint, and not terribly sweet for my taste. This is more like a metallic witbier with a hint of apple essence added. The HUGE rocky white head was a tad annoying but the spice in the finish was nice.

Pours with a slightly cloudy golden body topped by a huge white foamy head with a good amount of lacing. The nose is slightly flowery and full of sour apple, with a slight hint of sweet maltiness and a touch of hops. The room was filled with the smell of apples. Sweet slightly malty flavor with a good amountof apple notes and atouch of sourness. Light bodied smooth and crisp. A truely remarkable brew. One of the few fruit beers I've actually enjoyed.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2004 Huge snowwhite head with tons of carbonation. Almost like champaign. Needs to settle for a while before you can get to the liquid. Wonderful aroma dominated by fresh green apples with a little bit of zesty spice. Color is a light gold. Flavor is tingly and a little bit spicy. Light crisp apple taste with a little hint of yeast. Finish is dry and tart. A decent fruit beer that is slightly sweet and has a good balance with the fruit. May go a little sour in the stomach though as time passes. Thanks to radiomgb for this one

Very strong smell of apple when opened, but fades to a comfortable level. Nice palate, which parallels what one might expect from such. Overall its a nice sweet falvor, but not too overdone.
