Cloudy pale straw color, small white head that actually stays around for awhile.Nice apple and yeast aroma.Medium apple taste with a mild amount of spice and yeasty presence.Kind of sour when it's left to dance on the tongue for awhile the apple also seems to come through a lot better when this is done.i started out thinking this might be kind of a red delicious taste but it definately isn't like that at all,Grannysmith comes more to mind with the sour notes. The after taste is mildly yeasty with a definate apple taste.Very nice brew not something i would drink in large quantities but well worth trying on occasion.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great looking beer, hazy light blonde color, pillowy white head, a steady, thick stream of baby bubbles constantly cascading upwards from the bottom. The smell is reminiscent of a Jolly Rancher sour apple candy. Taste is pleasant, but muted. A bit of grainy malt, followed by characteristic coriander, then an apple flavor, with an orangey finish. Almost artificial somehow, but still in keeping with a wit feel. Enjoyable overall.

Not my favorite style but interesting nonethe less. Beautiful aroma, super head and lovely light cloudy colour. Nice corriander spicing but the apple flavor is a bit of a turn off for me. I may have to give it another go sometime.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 26, 2004 Fairly strong sour apple nose with a cloudy yellow appearance. The apple flavour isn't as strong as the aroma but definitely there. Yeastiness characteristic of Unibroue is there, with a light, crisp finish. Very refreshing.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled at From The Vine monthly beer tasting Aug 4th, 2003: I honestly don't much see the point in a granny smith beer. Pours a murky yellow with a medium white head. Quick lacing. Strong aroma of sour apple and wheat. Light-bodied with a character consistent with other beers of the style. Sour apple dominates the flavor, along with some wheat and spice in the background. The finish is rather crisp and stays with the apple theme. Not bad for what it is, I just don't see the point in beers like this.

Loads of carbonation with a mazzive foamy head. Light banana and apple aromas. Very light palate, sweetness is not overly apparent. Hints of apple and spice. Light and refreshing.

Unibroue -- y'know it doesn't seem to matter what kind of wierd sh*t they decide to brew, it all comes out good. Sensuous yeast and caramel apple and vinegar aroma -- I wanted to tuck some behind my ears and down my cleavage. Frosted, mashed banana colored, tall white head, immaculate bottle and label. Oh, that that apple faery visits me some night! Lightly sweet, which was surprising given the density of the aroma. A little tangy and banana-y with an almost artificial pear quality. A little brine, vinegar and spice. Too drinkable. Light bodied, but it does well just the same. Proper fizz. Maybe I'm a candyass girlieman, but a good fruit beer is hard to beat. Éphémère, éphémère, ma éphémère, dis-moi les choses douces...

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
BIG sour green apple nose that surprisingly doesn't really come through too much in the flavor. The coriander is surprisingly forefront, and I think the curacao is pretty strong too. I appreciate the fact that this is an apple beer and there is so much more going on, but it may actually be a tad too modest. On top of that, the Belgian yeast is just too apparent, I've almost grown bored of the estery yeast Unibroue uses so fervently. The finish of the finish gives one last peek of apple, but all in all I crave more.

This rocks. Like a belgian or a wheat mixed with a sour cider without massive carbonation. I could drink this all day.
