Pours a pale yellow golden with a medium frothy white head that diminshes quickly. The aroma is a dark fruit with apple and pears. The taste is a tart apple and yeast with a clean finish. Easy to drink a very good fruit beer from Unibroue. unnr (1), Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2009 Bottle. If only this beer’s smell lived up to its taste. Amazing nose with a strong note of apples with just a hint of spice. Nice light golden beer with an impressive head, alive with large amounts of carbonation. The taste, however, betrays the apple flavor and in reminiscent of a watered down cider, the apple almost completely lost in the carbonation. Again there was a spice undertone, but it was almost completely lost. Nice fizzy mouth with a short finish. Good beer for a hot evening, but leaves you wanting more from it. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 15, 2009 Bottle.A cloudy light golden color with a nice big fluffy white head, loads of nice carbonation, very little lacing. Aroma is tart green apple, some yeast type funk, and some subtle spice notes. Flavor is not as tart as the aroma would lead you to believe,a nice "real" apple taste, some wheat, and a touch of farmhouse funk kind of like an apple Saison.Much more depth as it warms. A short crisp finish, very drinkable.
I have been sitting on this for a nice Spring day like this. nice choice. meeple (56), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Smells like apple candy with a hint of orange and malt underneath. Taste is apple candy, hint of hop bitterness, hint of spice. Very lively in the mouth. Don’t know how I feel about the green apple candy taste, think only the carbonation saves it from being cloying. Nice to try, but glad I only got a 11.2 ounce bottle.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2009 The apple aroma and flavour is quite sublte, but there just enough to notice. This makes a big difference as you drink more of the glass the flavour becomes more pronounced but never gets to be too strong or overpowering like a cider. It is a bit cloudy but I would have expected more colour given the robust brewing techniques. Fred82 (386), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
