12oz bottle. Pale golden color. Smells like sour green apples. A light taste of apples that ends bitter. Not bad, but not my favorite from them.

Awesome sour apple aroma with some spice and yeast. Taste is similar but a little scaled back. Nice crisp finish.

This is a review from notes just recently found. I poured some into a pint glass and some into a tulip. There really wasn’t much difference. The appearance was a clear golden yellow color with a fast rising carbonation seen rising to feed a one finger white foamy and bubbly head that ends up fizzling to nothing coating the top of the beer. Some light adequate light stringy lacing tries to cling to the glass. The smell has a nice amount of spiced apples with a nice allocation of peaches I smelled combined and coming through in a rustic sort of earthy way. The taste was sweet and yet still had a nice spiciness coming through to balance it just a tad. There is a slight apple-like aftertaste and a decent dried apple sort of finish. On the palate, it sat fairly light with a decent harsh like finish. It had a nice sessionable aspect to it. Overall, this is a nice fruit beer well worthy of having again and well worthy for a nice Summer’s evening watching the sunset.

Bottle. A hazy, light yellow pour with a thick white head and good lacing. Big green apple aromas immediately after being uncorked, followed by white wine notes and Unibroue yeast. Flavour is sweet apple, some malt and Unibroue yeast; some light candy-like sweetness and a very subtle tartness. Probably my favourite of the Ephemere beers so far, and a very nice fruit beer.

gildnerk (128) - Düsseldorf, GERMANY - APR 24, 2014
Bottle. Sweet apple and champagne aromas with some yeast. The nose is mostly acidic and sweet, with a rather robust body for a fruit beer. Abundant, fine carbonation. Little aftertaste.

A great summertime beer. The hint of apple is gives a great aroma and light crispness without being overpowering.

Nose is ridiculous, sour green apple. Taste of apple, malt, cider well balanced, not overly sweet

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, best before 7/17/2015. Pours fairly hazy pale gold color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big apple juice, pear, white grape, orange peel, coriander, wheat, bread, clove, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of apple juice, spice, malt, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of apple juice, pear, white grape, orange peel, coriander, wheat, bread, clove, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of apple juice, pear, white grape, orange peel, coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of apple juice, spice, wheat, and yeast ester flavors; with very nice robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice fruit flavored witbier style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of apple juice, malt, spice, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Man. Not sure what to think about this. Cough syrup? Huge sweet and medicine tasting. Just hate this style.

EtTuCthulhu (1006) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAR 11, 2014
This beer pours an opaque golden color with a small white head that fades quickly. The aroma blends apple juice, white grapes, and yeast, and the taste is a refreshing blend of a mild sweetness and a slight sourness; furthermore, the palate is very complementary due to the lively carbonation, medium body, slick texture, and a slightly sweet finish.
