It not sweet at allmostly you the sour aspect of the grannysmith which is complement by the livley carbs and yeasty whaet flavor that I associate with most Unibroues. Sweet and sourish candy-like apple aroma with notes of bubblegum. Not very beer-like, but I kinda like it. Notes of yeast and perfume as well, and creamy candy as it warms. Flavour is sweet. The apple flavour isn’t as outspoken as could be expected, but instead there’s plenty of candy/bubblegum notes. Finish is creamy candy. Nice, although not very beer-like. 26-07-08. faroeviking (6031), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2008 750 ml bottle from Bev4les. Pours a dark gold color with a small white head that quickly disappears. The aroma is moderately strong with granny smith apples, and thats the best part of this concoction. The taste was weak fizzy apple juice and cardboard. The mouthfeel was a bit light and thin. The finish was short and disappointing. Overall: I’ll pass on this in the future. rscaletta (9), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Poured from bottle into pint glass (label kindly instructs that a belgian-style tulip is inappropriate). Pale bright yellow with huge fluffy head that stayed put through the whole drink. Lots of tiny bubbles like champagne. Aroma was mostly tart apple with a little belgian yeast. Excited yet? Taste was a let down. Mostly just tasted "dry." Not much apple, some spice, lots of unibroue yeast. Good, bubbly, refreshing but overall impression leaves me lacking; I was hoping for more! Like most Unibroue beers, it is ultra-carbonated and has a great aroma of Granny Smith Apples. The flavor is ephemeral; the apple is there and then it’s gone just as quickly. It’s good, a nice hot-summer-day beer.
