| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2008 750 ml bottle - pours a murky straw shade, with a good sized white head that lasts for a minute or two, though it diminishes to a surface layer fairly quickly. Aroma mainly sour apple, like a Jolly Rancher candy, along with some yeasty funk. Flavour similar, but with a bit more in the back end. Some good malt backs up the sweet/tart candy flavours (unfortunately artificial) and that signature Unibroue yeast is there in the background. Good summer quaff, but not something I’d buy regularly. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours Oragne, with extremely low carbonation and a small pure white head. Aroma is dominated by sour apples, but with spice (cinnamon and corriander?) and cotton candy notes. There’s also dry white wine notes intermingled, making the aroma way more complex than I was expecting. Flavour is wheaty, with apples, yeast, orange peel and corriander all in there. Mouthfeel is bubbly, light and effervescent. Way better than expected. MrChopin (638), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2008 Pours very hazy yellow/gold with a white head. Nose is strong, complete apple and sweet banana-like layering. Flavor is similar with more bread-like components. Thin and carbonated, it’s not quite as tart as DFH’s Festina Peche. I’ll stick with other Unibroue beers. gringo332 (238), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Twelve-ounce bottle. Cloudy yellow pour, thin, white head. Nose was sour apple bubble gum. Flavor was apple, coriander, curacao, and yeast. Dry finish. Mouthfeel was nicely carbonated and refreshing. The apple flavor was not overpowering, as it was in some other apple-enhanced beers. wilderthanyou (416), Guelph, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Pours a hazy golden yellow, with a quickly dissolving head. Aroma of lemon lime kool-aid bang on. The flavour is sour apple, wheat, spice, strange flavour of the finish. Nice foamy mouth feel, but a tad watery. All and all, not bad, but nothing special. ante (2936), Stockholm, Sweden
