| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 27, 2008 Twelve-ounce bottle. Cloudy yellow pour, thin, white head. Nose was sour apple bubble gum. Flavor was apple, coriander, curacao, and yeast. Dry finish. Mouthfeel was nicely carbonated and refreshing. The apple flavor was not overpowering, as it was in some other apple-enhanced beers. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Updated: Jul 8, 2008750mL cork top bottle shared with my younger brother (not TOO much younger, don’t worry). Pours a nice hazy straw golden, with less effervescence than I was expecting. Aroma is a nice blend of Unibroue yeast, barley and wheat malts, and the obligatory sour green apples. Smells pretty nice actually. Flavour is a tad complex, at least for a summer seasonal brew, great malt body and yeast character, a little sour tartness from the sour green apples, and with a deliciously smooth sweetness in the finish and aftertaste, with only a slightly more than subtle aspect of granny smith apples. It really grows on you as you drink more of it. An absolutely ideal summer brew, really nice stuff. 750mL just isn’t quite enough OSLO (826), Perth, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 26, 2008 [Bottle] Pours cloudy yellow with a good white head. Aroma is huge on green apple with a light maltiness present. Taste is also very green apple dominant with more malt and some mild bitterness. Average mouthfeel with a long finish. The green apple mixing with the grain was quite odd and really did not work that well for me. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA

The apple aroma comes through while pouring and fades as the beer settles. A touch of butterscotch and apple flavored bubblegum on the taste. Skyview (4045), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Pours a hazy golden amber brew with a thick off-white head that has some nice retention. Aroma of tart green apples, some coriander, light multi-grain malt and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is slightly tart, medium bodied with some carbonation and flavors of tart apples, yeast and multi-grain malt. Finish remains slightly tart with a light yeast and coriander aftertaste. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2008 pours a slightly cloudy amber-gold color with a medium thick head that lasts a bit. Aroma of apples and spice, and a touch of yeast. Tart apple flavor comes through more than anything. I don’t get much sweetness from this at all. A bit of spice and yeast on the finish. Enjoyable. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2008 Appearance: Pours a hazy, straw-colored body with a full, though thinning, white head.
Smell: Aroma of apples, certainly, but there’s also notes of coriander, bubblegum, and that ole Unibroue yeast.
Taste: Sweetish, vaguely tart green apples and (though to a far lesser degree) peaches overlaying a delicate wheat taste. No real hop character. Small pinch of spices. Slight yeastiness near the end. Bit of apple-flavored bubblegum on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Fine, lively carbonation.
Drinkability: Fair enough for a glass full of apples. At least Granny Smith would be damned proud, God rest her soul...
