Appearance: Opaque, pale gold color with a very effervescent white head. The head foams up and then down very quickly.
Aroma: Scents of green apple fill my nose. Yeast, bubble gum, some dust, and lemon round things out.
Flavor: Apple cotton candy if you can imagine it. A little dusty with some apple juice sweetness.
Palate: Very high carbonation with a very light mouthfeel and a short finish. Light on the tongue for sure.
Overall: This brew is well made. I’ve had too many brews like this where you get stuck with a syrupy sweet mess. This one is light and tasteful. That being said, if you want apple, try a good hard cider!

Oct 10, 2009 Draft. Pours orange golden with a a thin, white head. Aroma of apples, cinnamon, clove, wheat, hops, and hints of hay. Medium body with a very crisp, clean finish. Very well done fruit beer from Unibroue.

Oct 2, 2009 Aroma is as it says, Granny Smith apples with a sharp twinge of alcohol. Taste is crisp, lots of apple and the bitter bite of alcohol. Would be better if the alcohol taste didn’t overpower the apple.

Oct 2, 2009 Apple is not a flavor I like... and this is... well Apple beer. I am a fan of Unibroue... they have some awesome flavors... but this is more like a wine cooler... its not a beer. Avoid this!

Oct 2, 2009 Fruitbeer isn’t my favorite. But Unibrue usually makes great beers - so on second thought, why not:
Bottled: Pours hazy and pale yellow with an medium sized white head but fast disappearing. Nose of appel and citrus. Flavour of apples and coreander. Thin palate. Light bodied. Disappointing.

Cloudy yellow ale with a very large tight bubbly head..its pure white.
Aroma? Apples..grany smith..I have never smelt this much apple and it wasnt a Cider!
Well the taste is also all about apples butr I am getting apple skin along with the Granny Smith.
There are some discenable matls holding thin gs together though.
Mouthfeel is OK, lively to say the least.
DRinkbale OK but I really have to question if the line between beer and Cider has been crossed here

Sep 22, 2009 This was a struggle. It’s stench greeted me from several feet away. Apple was weak at best and the corriander was an overpwering mess. I can’t imagine what the other Ephemere variants are like.

Sep 22, 2009 Pours into an unusual shade of yellow, with a small head that doesn’t stick around for very long. Aroma is sugary, of mostly apple (duh) and some yeast coming through. Not a very interesting brew. The body is thin and the finish is bland. Artificial indeed. This beer would be great for a hot day, it could be very refreshing. Just not impressed overall.
