The scent was of tart apples and candied fruit. A very dry play on the palate with hints of sour apples. A very refreshing summer drink. flowerysong (25), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2007 Appearance: Fluffy white head, light golden body.
Smell: Tart Granny Smith apples with a bit of coriander and light malt.
Taste: Very light. A bit of wheat, a bit of apple, some spice notes. Tart, dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Thin, highly carbonated.
Drinkability: Intriguingly delicate; nothing to get in the way of drinking it, and the light flavour would pair well with light cheeses or starchy desserts. LooseCannon (928), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose of bready yeast, apples, and a hint of tartness, cloudy yellow gold with a medium white head; flavor is apples, but not sweet, a bit of acidic tartness, and light spices. Very nice light brew. My daughter-in-law (kiapepito) would like this one! CharlesDarwin (1843), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2007 355 mL Bottle. Aroma is a sweet wicking waft with apple skins, pie crust and airy florals. A little subdued, but with a nciely minerally waft. Pours a slightly clouded bright gold, with a frothing head of microbubble white. Flavor is mild and gentle, with a somewhat realistic apple flavor and a lot of nice Belgian character. Definite vanilla cake batter and a run of pale spices. Not too much fruit, instead just a flourish of yeast, apple juice, distant and alive. A vibrant, beautifully dry and refreshing quaff. Hurt, if for any reason by it’s lack of depth and character. Pretty blah finish and a plain smack. IT really isn’t a fruit beer, just a "single" inflected with some apple tone. I think you could reproduce this beer without adding any apple, just managing yeast and malt flavors. So, in that regard it’s not exemplary. However, unlike other fruit beers it’s clean, summer drinking dry and not gross. So there. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
