Yellow appearance with moderate head. Aroma is granny smith apples and wheat. Flavor is not as much apples as I expected with a very dry taste. Mouthfeel is thick and doughy. I'm not sure what is going on with this beer, but I'll never want to sample it again. Average

I had this at Global Brew. Pours yellow with a white head. Taste green apple, belgian yeast, tart. I thought this was pretty good. I would drink this again.

Apple, wheat. Cloudy yellow. Crisp. Light mouthfeel, good, far from earth shattering.

Best fruit beer I have had. Bubbly and lively like champagne. Sweet and tart grany smith apple taste but not overwhelming. Very unique beer.

Hazy honey color with quick diminishing white head. Wonderful sour apple and floral aroma. Taste is wheaty with Belgium yeast. Sweet but not as sweet as the aroma would lead you to believe. The apple taste is certainly there, but it’s relatively subtle. Apple tartness comes through at the end and balances the sweetness nicely. Dry palate. It’s refreshing, light and effervescent. Pretty unique and fun to drink.

I poured a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass. It was bottled on 1/24/13 and cost $4 ($0.33 per ounce).
Appearance: Beautiful, glowing shade of banana skin yellow. Clear with plenty of carbonation visible. Pours to a large, white, soapy head - though it dissipates completely and leaves no lacing (shame).
Smell: Intense aroma of green apples and traditional Belgian witbier yeast esters.
Taste: There’s certain fruits that naturally work with certain styles of beer, though sometimes you’d never think these matches would work until someone actually attempts them. Green apples apparently are a natural blend with the Belgian White style and Unibroue Éphémère Pomme is proof positive of that. This beer is a delicate balance between traditional, authentic, robust witbier and an avant-garde fruit ale. A tasty combination of fruit and spices.
The beer starts off with a quick rush of the traditional witbier flavors: orangepeel, coriander and a touch of clove. Then the Granny Smith apple must emerges and envelopes the palate creating for a fruity, refreshing, and tart flavor sensation. There’s additional spice notes on the finish, imparting some rustic character. Little to no bitterness to be found here, though not much in the way of malt character, either. The palette is a little repetitive, but it’s quite delectable and enjoyable.
Drinkability: It’s beers like Unibroue Éphémère Pomme that demonstrate that beer can be fruity and taste authentic, as compared to so many mainstream so-called chick beers and alcopops. The mouthfeel is noticeably thin and highly carbonated, but it’s not challenge to drink as it leaves a nearly clean aftertaste. This is exactly the kind of beer I would want in the summer since it’s tasty and refreshing, but light enough that it won’t overwhelm (if only the body were even lighter to make it a true session beer).

Bouteille de 750 mL. Belle couleur, présente des arômes de pommes vertes dominants. Belle effervescence. Goût de pomme et de blé. Se laisse boire facilement, hyper populaire dans les groupes où j’en ai apporté.

Bottle pours a clear yellow with a decent white head. The aroma is of sweet green apple, a little sour. The taste is mild, watery mouth feel and a little dry in the finish. There is a very light note of apple in the middle, quite enjoyable.

FROM NOTES: August 12, ’12.
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip.
A: Green apple notes, Jolly Rancher candy notes, mild caramel, and some very mild funk.
A: Poured a murky golden color with a one-finger fizzy head. The head disappeared rapidly with little to no lacing.
T: Follows the nose with a very straight-forward approach. Very delicate flavor that opens with apple cider notes, then into biscuit, more apple, light grass and very faint spices.
P: Light bodied with medium carbonation. Has a very pleasant crisp and refreshing quality.
O: Very straightforward, simple fruit beer with apple all the way through. Not my favorite style, but very drinkable and refreshing.
