Orange-blond with a fizzy white head. Aroma is fruity with black currants and berries. The yeast, spice and malt are vague in the background to the wonderful fruit flavour. Huge black currant and berry taste. Not too sweet, though. Very light and drinkable. Probably my second favourite ephemere behind the cranberry.

reddish-amber colour with a fine creamy head, moderate blackcurrant aroma, notes of haye, medium-bodied, touch of acidity before a dry black currant finish - sober and much better than the last version

Murky orange out of the bottle with a huge pink fluffy head. Smells like cassis soda pop. Highly carbonated and very light on the palate. Tastes like cotton candy with strawberry, currant and whipped cream flavors. Tasty but nothing exciting.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Opaque golden with medium white head. Aroma is blackberry, malty, light sweet -- very pleasant, not too fruity. Taste has even less blackberry, so little that it goes too far. Light body.

Bit reddish with a pretty pink head. Nose is sour cassis. Quite fruity flavor at first, nice kick of tartness and cassis, but sort of dies at end. Are a few vaguely cookiesh malts. Good, but gave the promise of actually being great.

Props to the surprise guest, CapFlu, for this one. Cloudy reddish orange with some purple around the edges. The aroma is awesome, sweet and fruity, currants, and yeast. The flavor is a letdown after the wonderful aroma, sweet fruity currant but it falls flat about midway through. Body is dry and fizzy.

Thanks to John for the trade. Pink tangerine hue with a small white head and minimal lace. The aroma hints of melon, currents, and raspberry, hayfield, grassy hops, and earthy and dusty yeast esters. The taste is expected, tart and fruity with a grainy and wheat like undertone. Slightly woody and spicy nature upon the finish. The mouthfeel is lively and crisp with a dry tannic finish. What an enjoyable beer, not coy or sweet which makes it a classic match against chocolate desserts (like AOFoxxy's cake). Even better than the apple from last year, which I still liked.

Looks like Fruit Punch. Reddy-orange with a light head. Aroma of berries. Beautiful currant flavour, with a peppery dry finish. Very much like the other Ephemeres, nice and yeasty. Particularily good on tap.
