Smells like fruit candy with a bit of yeast in it. It looks like cream soda with pink foam. It reminds of drinking pop, the flavour buildsonly to the halfway before the massive carbonation takes over on the surface of your tounge. Very sweet and fruity but not too much of anything or too dry either.

The nose is dominated here by black current and hints of funky yeast in the background. The black current found in the nose is really mellowed-out in the taste. Not nearly as sweet as I was expecting it to be; actually quite enjoyable. More of the essence of real black currents as opposed to a manufactured candy taste. This is not a complex beer; it pretty much only features black currants with hints of malt beneath. As fruity beers go, it’s quite nice.

750ml bottle from Liberty Wines. Thanks Angela! Pours a cloudy orange with a tiny white head. Aroma: Hay, grapes, raspberries. Smells very sweet, slightly sour. Palate: medium bodied, fizzy, long, slightly dry finish. Taste: Not as sweet as it smells, hints of sourness, and a hint of bitterness.

Pours a hazy pink-salmon with a short-lived fizzy pink head. Smells of tart berries. Taste is moderately sweet, lightly bitter, moderately sour, tart - berries/currants dominate, a fruity yeastiness; very much a classic Unibroue with the yeast. A fruit beer in taste as well as in smell!

I like lambics but this does nothing for me. Really quite weak and I am looking at the size of the bottle I am thinking "why me?"

Clouded berry copper, pink tinged foamy white head settles slowly. Fruity berry fresh aroma. Taste is moderate berry fruity, not at all cloying, mild wheat, yeast and slightly floral. Lively carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Clean crisp and refreshing, finishes dry and lightly tart. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

pours hazy pink-purple with a frothy pinkish head, excellent retention and lacing. wheat, berries, currants i suppose, shy vinous notes, very hint of acidity - mainly coming from yeast, also very yeasty - classic unibroue signature, some orange and other citrus, hint of sweetness, touch of soap. lively and soft carbonation, light body, short fruity and herbal finish. o-k.

Bottle. Not sure of the age. I assume the base beer is a wit. Poured a pale purple with long-lasting pink head. Good fruity currant smell. Tart berry flavors. Biscuity. Orange peel. Slightly soapy and astringent, but overall a very fine beer.

Tulip pour. Crisp golden yellow-amber with full two finger head. Nose is sweet candy, white sugar, sweet berries and black currant. Flavor is nice, sweet but smooth. Not too much sugar, candy notes, berries are presence. Smooth body. Not a bad offering..
