| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2005 Fruity aroma - dark berries and cherries (I guess that’s what currants smell like) with a light spiciness. Hazy orange-amber with pink hues, big, frothy off-white-with-a-hint-of-pink head. Nice fruity Belgian flavor up from, slightly tart, but finishes watery. Medium-light body, high carbonation. Definitely not a bad summer beer, flavors are light and crisp, but there is enough going on to keep it interesting. BückDich (4830), McCall, Idaho, USA

Nose of peach, currants (who would have thought?) and tart sweetness. The flavor is rich and sweet, crispy, fruity but watery. Finishes light and crisp, not bad. Nel (180), Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2005 a pretty good fruit beer from unibroue. Not as good as the normal ephemere though. Reddish hue in the color. Lots of head. Fruits and some sour notes in the taste. A little bit thin for my taste, but all in all pretty solid. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 25, 2005 Sampled on draft, Patton Alley Pub, Springfield, MO. Pours a cloudy, orange-amber in color with a minimal white head and intricate lacing. L’Ephemere’s aroma is tart with berries. Reminds me of the blue Tear Jerker gum! Nicely bitter and dominated by currant/berry with a wheat malt tartness up front and a hard-candy sweetness in the middle. Finishes clean. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated. A unique and refreshing beer. walleye (879), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA
