Not quite what I was expecting from beginning to end. Pour was a dark red- pinkish, wine looking pour. Nose is big with blackberries and fruit, but the taste was lackluster across the board. Dull, some berry but not quite what you’d expect from the nose. Yeasty and sweet and sometimes sour, but never really great.

750mL bottle. Best before: 01/19/07. A hazy, light rose pour with a HUGE effervescent quartz head. Aroma is lambic-like: sour and yeasty with tons of raspberries and blackberries. Nowhere near as flavorful as I would’ve expected based on aroma and appearance. Very crisp and light. Heavy on the carbonation. Sour yeastiness, some light wheatiness and plenty of tart berries and even some watermelon. On the thin side with not much body at all. Quite refreshing though. A pretty solid fruit beer - a style that tends to be underrated on this site.

pours reddish, with a good fruity blackberry smell, huge white fluffy head, wasn’t sure if it was the blackberry taste or if it was to fruity that made me not care for the taste, it is drinkable though.

Tap @ Toronado. A reddish orange color with a laced white head. Intense black currant flavors, semi-sweet and dry. A nice long aftertaste. The aroma had a dry and musty character. There was too much fruit for my tastes but otherwise very drinkable.

Had this on draft at the Washington House Unibroue beer tasting. The only one they had on draft. Poured a cloudy rusty orange with a rich tan head. Sweet fruity aroma of berries. The head went away quickly with no lacing. Very berry in the flavor was sweet but a bit thin. A little sour and tart. Out of all the Unibroue beers I tasted this evening I liked this the least, but was still refreshing and good.

Mellon color that pours a massive head. Tons of bubbles and carbonation. Aroma s sour with what I can only assume is currants. Flavor i mild with a dull dead finish.

Beamy orange color, looks almost neon with a slight haze to it. Head is thin and recedes to a small white crown. Aroma is to die for: all black currants, both sweet and tart, fruity melons, cherries and fresh cut grass. Very dry taste, soda water, lemon, then very tart berries, fruit malt, rasberries, cherries, some hoppy needling on back of tongue. Aroma and appearence are so great that the flavor is a let-down, but its still good, non-withstanding.

This stuff tastes just like a smooth glass of spiked raspberry iced tea. It’s really enjoyable, except the carbonation level is a little high I thought.
