Aroma of overwhelming fruit, currant, raspberry. Appears a lovely tequilla sunrise color, with lots of haze and a tall foamy head. Flavor is not nearly as sweet or fruity as the aroma would suggest; somewhat sour and a bit bland with neither hops nor balance. Palate is too light and too bubbly. Overall, this beer was increasingly dissappointing, and somewhat less than the sum of its parts.

Finally ran across a bottle of something other than the apple, courtesy of Kelsick Gardens in Gloucester. Lightly hazy, brownish pink, decent color, fizzy effervescence persists throughout. Aroma was of tart raspberry. Thicker in the mouth than expecting, first sour, then an almost cloying currant sweetness. Somehow it managed to be a bit watery and full bodied at the same time, a feet I cannot comprehend. Not my thing, I preferred the apple greatly.

Tart berry flavor, acidic with lots of bubbles. I had at a tasting, so a small amount was good but I couldn’t handle too much.

On draught at Redbones, 6/12/05, served in a chalice. Hazy blueberry-pulp colored beer, with a small off-white head, that rapidly reduces to cover. Rather still and murky is the liquid. Light lacing. Aroma of extremely dry currant skins, dry Uni-yeast and bits of honey and grainy wheat. Flavor is ridiculously dry, lightly tart, but just mainly dry. Dry pale malts, like sourdough, and dry currant skins. Absolutely no malt sugars in this. Yeast on the end, would probably have been chewy, if the beer wasnt so damned watery. Watered down currant-skin puree is what this one is. Carbonation is almost non-existant, mouthfeel is astringent, dry and lightly bready, before all of the water hits. Yikes. In bad condition on draught? Perhaps. I have a bottle at home, will rerate that.

Pours a pink orange rose color with a dissipating white head and some lacing. Nose of a weird berry like cough drop. Tart berry in the flavor. Not bad but not my favorite beer.

Pours orange with a pink glow and a fluffy snow white head. Artificial blackcurrant aroma. Candied blackcurrant flavor. Foamy mouthfull and a thin body. Way to artificial for my liking.

An unclear red beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is extremely sweet with strong notes of black currant, the flavor is totally carbonized with notes of black currant - just too much for me.

Murky orange with a medium head. Aroma of dried berries. Very dry and overly tart taste of berries. Sour beyond the pale. Ick.
