| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 9, 2005 Artificial and horrible. No real black curran in this. Very bad and unpleasant. Too sickening to be good. Too sweet. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2005 Certainly something different. Probably the best fruit beer I’ve had but that’s not saying much. Pours a dark orangey color. Aroma smells like.. surprise.. currants. Not surprisingly, this was very sweet. Whatever, try it if you want something different. madsberg (4958), Søborg, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 8, 2005 Bottled: Orange coloured. Dusty White head. Black curran, sweetness almost like juice in the aroma. Flavour seems somewhat artificial to me. Blackcurrant is present and some sweetness. Is thin bodied which leads to and quick sweet and fruity end. Quite dry beer. Well, I dont find much joy in this beer. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2005 Pours a nice clear reddish/orange with a smooth white head. So much different than the linemans thick grape syrup effect, much more light bodied, with a fizzy dry finish. The grapes fade off with a bit of sweetness in the aftertaste and a slight sour/tart hint shows. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Cloudy Dark Orange with Creamy and Frothy Head. Black Currant Aroma. Similarly Fruity Notes Throughout with a Carbonated Tang...Cassis is Dry, More Subtle and a Bit Furry/Heavier Than the Apple Version...Quite Good. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Bottled. Pinkish coloured. Very nice black currant aroma and flavour. Fresh and tasty with a touch of sourness. Cornfield (4926), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 5, 2005 On tap at the Maple Tree: It has a well-carbonated apricot body with a fizzy white head of good standing. The aroma is delicately fruity, the currents definitely present, but not overwhelming. Lively in the mouth, the cassis flavor is not as dominant as the fruits in the other Ephemeres, but tart and tasty still. It finishes on a lightly sweet, clean note. beerguy101 (3872), Newark, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 4, 2005 750 ml bottle. Pinkish amber color. Large sized long lasting white foamy head, with minimal lacing. Aroma is black currents, kind of grassy and wine like. A light to medium bodied fruit beer. Malts are fruity and sweet, Tart and fizzy. A very light and refreshing beer. Tart and sweet the cassis (black currents) flavors are somewhat muted. They are there and let you know it, but are not as dominant as one would expect. Very lively carbonation. Lots of little bubbles. Very dry crisp finish. It might be the best feature of this beer. Nice summer beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
