Orange color, fine perlage. Strong aroma of cassis, light hoppiness. Tastes of cassis candies and some bitterness. Poor final, somehow sweet and salty.

Cloudy orange color; nice perlage. The blackcurrant aroma is very nice, real. The taste is just ok, a fair beer, very dry, with some blackcurrant notes. Quite balanced.

Whoa - cassis everywhere in the nose, along with some white grape - and peach. This smells fantastic. Big pillowy head, with some large holes here and there, which settles to a thin sheet after a few minutes. Body is a dense amber-orange, hard to see through. The flavors match the nose in quality, but not really in quantity. There’s just not the wealth of flavor as you’re led to expect from the aroma. The flavors are very good, but not that strong. It tastes like a watered-down lambic; lots of lambic qualities (especially the tartness), but not as heavy or strong. Very nice beer for celebrating an unseasonably warm Opening Day - even if the Pirates /can’t/ even keep it close with the Brewers...

Golden-orange in color with an overly fluffy white head. The nose is strong with sweet currant grape. The taste is dry and tart, and mosty currant. A bit over carbonated, but decent overall.

Golden with a reddish hue - kind of peachy, big fluffy head, really good lacing. Sweet and tangy - similar to a witt, fairly tart; spritzy palate. This one’s not overly sweet - it’s a great combination of fruit and beer flavors, great with desserts.

750 mL: corked & caged, best before 01.19.2007: hazy, golden peach with the characteristic tightly bubbled bleached white foam, generous and load (the intense carbonation is audible…), anyway sweet fruity aroma, reminds me of blueberries or blackberries and has a (not surprisingly) yeasty presence. White grape flavours stick on the fizzy palate with bits of orange flesh and other citrus notes along side smooth creamy yeast, a slight sourness and a touch of metallic zest. Pretty nice, easy drinking brew, but the cranberry and apple were more interesting…

Lordy, these new Unibroue corks are some tough mothers to open. And once it was off, aroma city. From a foot away I could smell how sweet it was, reminds me of grape captian crunch....with some more spice to it. Seriously, there is an appealing blend of the fruity side and the grain side, with the spicyness mixed int. So next, I figured pouring it into the glass was the next thing to do. I wish I could get that much head out of other things in life. Honesly, this was the exact opposite of pouring a glass of Gale’s Prize Old Ale [in terms of head size.] Honestly, I got about 10 times the volume of foam than fluid at first. Which is why I’m writing so goddamn much, because its still settling. This has a nice orange glow for the body. The flavor is pleasant, and honestly somewhat suprising. It isnt strong or overpowering the beer with the fruit or the fruit with the beer. Just a really smooth tastey beer.

This is a good Fruit Beer. Not overlly sweet and fruity which I like fo a fruit beer. Currants, and fruity flavor. Finishes clean, crisp, and dry.
