Tap at Volo. Nice fruity aroma, very beautiful beer. A pinkish red with a medium head. Great and refreshing on a very hot and humid day! Smooth but nothing special palate. Flavour was good, while evidently fruity, was not sweet. Very acidic, which I liked.

Bouteille 341ml.

[2256-20090606] Bottle. Strong fruit aroma, what must be black currant. Hazy, bright dark red body with a long-lasting foamy white head. More black currant fruit flavour. Medium body. Fruity, fairly drinkable but lots of black currant.

Draught at Volo. This is ruby amber red in a Unibroue goblet with a solid pink white head. The aroma is yeasty with wild berries, pepper, bread. Medium bodied. The flavour has plenty of berry: currant, black berry, strawberry, with some pleasant tartness. Great on a warm summer day in Toronto.

Pours a pale pink with a good white head. Strong sweet aromas of black currant jam. Tastes of black currants with faint yeast notes, not overly sweet but has a crisp finish. An above average fruit beer.

C&C 750 mL bottle courtesy of. Thanks! Pours a slightly hazy pinkish orange color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of currants, strawberries, spice and a wine like astringent note. Taste is bready with a light fruit note, including grape, berry and faint cassis in the finish. Light caramel as well. Medium bodied.

Pours pink like rhubarb With a light pink head. Aroma is sour and yeasty. Black currant dominates the palate, slightly sour accented by that classic unibroue yeast. Pretrty good for a fruit beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy rhubarb-pie pink, with a soft pretty pink head, spotty lacing. Nose is tart/sour cassis, with the usual Unibroue yeast. Palate is cassis, yeast, and a suggestion of hops in the finish. Very fine champagne-like carbonation throughout. Pretty and unique, but not terribly complex.
