Scents of currant and grape are very strong. Taste is similar, but very light and highly carbonated. hobgoblin (163), St-Épiphane, Quebec, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 6, 2005 bottle. Lightly troubled yellow reddish tint color with nice white head. Black currant grapes aroma. Taste of black currant grapes with high carbonation. Another nice fruit beer from Unibroue, worth a try.
Hopistotle420 (1178), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2005 Deep cloudy orange with a purplish tint. Big fluffy pink head. Yeasty, wit nose, hint of currant. This is a very nimble, refreshing, quaffer with great finesse. Pleasant carbonation provides a nice mouthfeel. Light in body, faintly spiced, subtle sweetness, with a clean crisp finish. Great drinkability. A very nice fruit beer if you ask me. Glad to see this one in the state finally, and I cant wait for others. Pailhead (2583), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 21, 2005 Bottle: Aroma is currant but it’s a little weak. Pours a hazy orange with a white head with good retention. Kind of a weak currant flavor. Lightly tart. Flavor is relatively constant from start to finish. A tad stronger in the finish with a little sourness. As it warms it seems to get more and more sour. Was told that this was overly carbonated to start, but my sample was a re-corked bottle that was still carbonated, but not overly so. Thanks to Styles. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 13, 2005 Nice peach colored beer with no head. Aroma is lightly sour with sweet black grape aroma. Flavor is underwhelming. Light flavors of fruit and a touch of sourness. Good, but needs stronger flavors to be better. Thanks Kawa!!! Gooner8110 (17), Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2005 What a colour! Rose or purple brownish colour which it fantastic. The nose gets you excited, a lot of fruit, obviously blackcurrant. Very dry, but that’s what makes the Ephemere line different to Lambics. A little sweet, I think I would have to share this with one or two people. A little too tart or heavy fruit to drink in quantity. Lubiere (4491), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2005 Small bottle. Hange orange pinkish beer with off-mauve head! Beautiful. Smell of currant and melons, fresh and pleasaing (the beer is almost one yr old!). Fresh wheat with light tart cherries and wild berries, with smooth acidic notes. Light and pleasing fruit beer.
