Bottle thanks to daknole. Marked as best by 1-26-07. Pours with a hazy pinkish-peach body and a large fizzy white head that dies down pretty quick. Aroma of berries, cassis syrup, raspberry, alcohol and a bit of coriander and cork. Taste is a bit musty with spicy and dry notes and fresh cassis syrup. Very refreshing and nice like the Cranberry version. Dry and lively carbonated mouthfeel.

Bottle from my local Crown. Orangish pour. Typical creamy head from Unibroue brews. Aroma is full of cherries, raspberries, yeast and some earthy notes. Flavor is creamy and full of yeast and berries. More like cherries/raspberries. This beer is in the realm of a La Fin Du Monde mixed with a sweet cherry lambic. Easy to drink, but not amazingly complex.

Sample at Weasel Boy. The beer pours a pinkish gold color with a medium off-white head that fizzes away quickly. Aroma of currant and granny smith apples. Medium-bodied with a tart fruity character. Apples and currants are complemented by some bready malts and wheat. The finish is fruity with a lingering fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

2004 Bottle shared by Springslicker. Poured amber with a slight hint of pink. White head with pink highlights. Aromas of sweet berries and hints of earthy wood. The flavor has lots of berry in it with a slight malt backing. Medium body, fizzy carbonation, sweet flavor overall with a slight sour finish and a berry aftertaste. Nice!

2004 bottle from Jay. Damn, Jay knocked out two beers I have wanted to try for a very long time at once. Thanks! Pours out a pink color with a white head on it. Smell is fruity, kind of like a mix between grapes and cherries. Apparently I dont know what a currant is because I had some cheese with black currants in it, and it tasted like cherries. This beer doesnt really taste like a cherry - more like a champagne with dark grapes in it. Interesting beer though, but it isnt on the level as the cranberry one was. It has held up well, but the over carbonated factor makes this one a tad difficult to consume.

Bottle from Springslicker. Pours orange amber with an off white head. Lighter side of medium bodied with a refreshing texture. Aroma of grape skins and dark fruit. Flavor of blackberry, sweet wine, and pale wheat malts. Not as sweet as the cranberry. This has held up well for a 2004 bottle.
