Pours an incredibly billowing white head. Intensely foamy and long-lasting. Color is a hazy pale yellow, almost like a summer wheat. Nose has a yeasty blend of aromas - some sweet fruity notes, almost champagne-like. Flavor is dry and sweet, again almost champagne-like. I enjoyed this. robforbes (1085), Bremerton, Washington, USA

smell is fruity, bread, granny smith apple.
taste is like a seltzer water flavored with apple, bit of yeast, ends a little on the dry side.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2007 750ml bottle: This one pours slightly hazy with a slightly pink-hued golden body. There was also a large head that also had a pinkish tinge to it. The head doesn’t last long, or leave any lacing. Subdued aroma of black currants. Mild taste of black currants with a medium-light wheat body. Slight tartness, not sweet. The taste is light and refreshing. Nice. badlizard (2343), Berkeley, California, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 5, 2007 750 ml bottle. light transparent gold with rosey hue with a foamy white head. distinct currant aroma. strong but not overpowering carbonation. a blend of currant and raspberry flavors over a light yeast. overall very crisp. similar to the apple, the fruit flavors are not overpowering and are well balanced with the wheat base. i think i prefer the tartness of the apple a bit more but that’s just personal preference. these ephemeres are top notch fruit beers that’s for sure. sneagrams3 (1747), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2007 The Dan Journal #32. Tasted 9/3/2006. 750ml bottle. Hazy and deep golden with apricot highlights. Nice bright white head. Citrusy and yeasty fruity nose. Notes of cranberries and black currants. Touch grapey. Mild and light, but super lively and tangy. Light wheat malts initially, then sugary grainy sticky, then the tart hits. And thats what lingers. Not my favorite fruit flavor.
