Éphémère Framboise is the fifth in a series of special and short-lived beers. Its pinkish hue, strong raspberry bouquet and refreshing taste unite to offer you a unique sensory experience. It is an original recipe that has come and gone before you know it!

Uneven fine, lightly pinkish head, over orangeish to transparant terracotta beer. Raspberry aroma (not 100% natural, ’t would seem) mixed with something sharp, unidentifiable, as well as coriander, fer chrissakes. Spicy taste with a faraway raspberry flavour faint, and - indeed - éphémère. Slight tartness. Sharp carbonation - for masking the emptiness? Ephémère in name and in impression. Why the coriander? They are probably ashamed of it themselves, as I needed BOTH glasses and a magnifying glass to read the ingredients list!

Bottle with lunch in Chambly. Poured a slightly hazy orange/amber with a slight pink hue and an average bubbly white head. Aroma was dry and musty with just ahint of raspberry. Light watery body with slight carbonation. Flavor was on the bland side with only a touch of raspberry. The food was so so and the best thing about this lunch by far was the view.

La lie bien mêlée elle est très bonne. Pas du tout âcre, aucun arrière goût, très pétillante, beaucoup de goût de framboise et une très belle couleur ambrée orange et rose. Que demandé de mieux, bravo!

0.34 l bottle. Yellow to brown color with small head. Strong sweet raspberry aroma, nothing else. Dryer flavor, strong on raspberry but still noticeable wheat beer backbone. More beery finish with wheaty and bready notes.

750ml bottle. Hazy pale orange/red colour with a small white head that disappears quickly. Tart raspberry aroma, and the taste is the same but less intense. Highly carbonated and smooth mouth feel. Not bad but the apple was better.

Sampled at Mondial de la Biere. Nice fruit ale, good for summer, but there are others out there that are just as good at half the price. I didn’t pick up on any fake fruit extract flavor, which for me is the downfall of many fruit beers.

Muddy, opaque, caramel-chestnut body with finely conditioned carbonation raising up an inch-thick, creamy white head. Head retains well, doesn’t lace at all though. Candied, thick and full, sweet raspberry nose with underlying bready notes. In the mouth it is fizzy and sweet, fizzy - and - sweet, this one is first and last mouthful a bit dramatic in all the wrong aspects. Hard to get anything else, the carbonic acid bites whilst the Raspberry conserve cloys at the remainder of the palate. Finish is like sucking on a spoonful of the stuff, reminds me of when my mum used too make my morning toast with just an extra inch of Jam for topping, needed to be ladled off the bread before consumption. Anyway - a buttery note hits into gear half-way through the glass, the diacetyl giving an oily, slick feel to the mid-palate, back-end and throat that continues on down. This is not too good at all, I can’t much finish it to be honest. (341mL, J126, Int’l Beer Shop, W. Leederville)

Bottle: Brownish caramel, very thick and hazy, moderate to large fizzy white head, dies somewhat quickly, sparce lacing.   Raspberry like seed in the nose, not terribly sweet, moreso a slight earthy nature to it.   Pale Raspberry flavor up front, minor tartness, very fleeting, musty, with a bit of the aformentioned earth.   Fizzy in the mouth, body seems to be average at best.   Lackluster finish, tingly, with a slightly tacky feeling.   Paler than your average Fruit Beer.   Decent, but wished it was a bit more fruity.   Very light example of the style.   Refreshing, but flavor needs a bit of umph me thinks.   Thanks goes out to jerc for the bottle!

Sweet raspberry aroma. Pours with a dark pink/reddish hue with a big white head. Fairly highly carbonated, sweet raspberry flavour with a slight hint of bitterness in the finish. A refreshing fruit beer.

Cloudy organge colour with thin stark white head. Raspberry nose. Sweet raspberry taste with mild lingering raspberry finish.
